Fun fact about me: I love jazz. I play in a jazz band and it's one of my favorite things to do.

So obviously we're going to incorporate that into my fanfic ideas (because I'm me, duh)

Okay so, the pairing: Enoch O'Connor x reader

Because obviously the character canonically from the 1940s is in a jazz related fic pitch. How could I not? Big Band, Swing, Dixieland, Glenn Miller? Big players in that era! All of this literally shaped the entire genre. So yeah that's the pairing.

So the idea is that the reader has a musical peculiarity. Like they can feel the frequency and music within everything and literally make music with anything (and I mean anything). So anyways, they make music (sometimes piecing together random objects and making the most interesting and angelic sounding instruments) and like I said, jazz is at its peak. I don't know how Enoch fits into it honestly, he could help the reader with their crazy object combinations to make the instruments or just like how the reader makes music.

Oh and I'm requiring that the reader sings. Because like come on *Witchcraft* sung by Frank Sinatra? *In the Mood* by Glenn Miller? Come on now.

Anyways, I just love jazz. Your homework today (because I feel like it) is to listen to these artists/songs and tell me what you think in the comments. Extra credit is looking at the songs *Moonlight Serenade* and *Autumn Leaves* as well as listening to Wycliffe Gordon.

So I just saw a post by a random personal blog that said “don’t follow me if we never even had a conversation before” and?????? Not to be rude but literally what the fuck??????????

I’ve had people (non-pornbots) try to strike conversation out of nowhere in my DMs recently, and now I’m wondering if they were doing that because they wanted to follow me and thought they needed to interact first. I feel compelled to say, just in case, that it’s totally okay to follow this blog (or my side blog, for that matter) even if we’ve never talked before.

Also, I’m legit confused. Is this how follow culture works right now? It was worded like it’s common sense but is that really a thing?

Saw a sharp increase in my follower count after posting this. The legitimacy of it is driving me nuts so I also feel the need to say that you can follow anyone on here regardless of whether you’ve interacted with them or not. People like the above mentioned blog are exceptions. Perhaps they themselves think they aren’t and therefore will act like they aren’t, but they are, trust me.

Just follow anyone you wanna follow. The worst thing that can happen is maybe getting soft-blocked by the other person, but if they do soft-block you, then they were never that worth following in the first place.
