if you've made replies on posts there is now a tab on your blog showing every post youve replied to and your reply.

if this is not what you want, either go to your blog and click comments and disable it from there or just go to your individual blogs setting pages. just change it from blue to grey if you dont want everyone to see your replies AND the post you're replying to

PLEASE BE ADVISED that it is set to disabled for blogs that have not made any replies but it will turn ON if you reply with that blog in the future.! i just tested it with my main, which was greyed out but it turned on the moment i left a test reply

so for some reason this feature was actually announced on the tumblr engineering blog. interesting choice not to reblog it to the staff or tumblr blog, esp considering they asked for user input on how to implement it, but i suppose considering the response to the last update maybe the replies would be too overwhelming...

so couple of clarifications. comments are disabled as default for primary blogs that have their likes disabled. they are seemingly enabled for all other blogs that have replied to posts

posts you comment on may show on your followers 'for you' page if you leave your replies publically available. they may, in the future, show in on your followers dashboard if your follower goes to their dash settings and enables this. apparently, if your likes are enabled, your followers can already see those on the dash if they've gone into preferences and selected to do so, which I was unaware of, and that seems to be disabled at default, but it's possible i disabled it previously and forgot about it ig

For those who don’t know, ai takes from fresh water to cool its computer systems and the water can’t be recycled. ChatGPT alone uses 500 million gallons of water a day, and the AI industry used more water last year than the plastic water bottle industry. It also produces nothing original and takes from artists and writers alike.

These people usually AI-generate new chapters for awaiting fanfictions, their impatience causes authors get their work stolen and fed to AI which actively harms people and their creative writing

“inexperienced!reader” and its someone just writing straight AGEPLAY. you cannot sit here and say that youre writing an innocent reader and then write them to have the characteristics of a six year old, a literal six year old. i see this very often is fics involving religious themes and theyre almost always portraying the reader in a very uncomfortable light. its absolutely disgusting for some 20 something year old grown woman to sit on this app and write about someone with the emotional maturity of a child get fucked by a video game character.

i remember there was an issue with an author on here a few years ago with said issue, like making the reader not know the name to her own body parts, and/or not knowing what sex is. im telling you now - everyone above the age of 12 knows what a vagina is, and has concepts of what they think sex is. so theres absolutely NO reason to be writing that shit. you should not be writing smut about minors. especially if you are over the age of 18, which MOST of the authors on this app are.

let’s talk about the winter soldier’s zero regard for his own wellbeing, and the way the mechanised methodical ruthlessness was used to underline his role as a tool. like. jesus christ, this isn’t just how pierce and his handlers and other people see him, this is how he sees himself. zero concept of agency or personhood.

let’s talk about the sheer brutal physicality of his fights with steve. let’s talk about how the force necessary to kick steve back is enough that the winter soldier literally falls down too, and just goes with it and doesn’t stop firing. let’s talk about the way he and steve are evenly matched, to the point that their showdown was this close to ending in mutually assured destruction.

let’s talk about steve rogers being the first and only person in the winter soldier’s memory who shows emotion towards him, and how much that fucks the winter soldier up; he doesn’t care about himself or see himself as a human being, and here’s this man he’s never seen before in his life treating him like they’re both people and not a weapon and a target. (MISSION. jesus christ on a pony i can’t even.) let’s talk about the winter soldier’s childlike confusion when for the first time in his memory he wants to remember or know something/someone except he doesn’t know how. he literally doesn’t have the tools to build an emotional connection, and he wants to, and fuck him if he’s not gonna try.

let’s talk about how he bloody well imprints on steve after a two-minute encounter that is mostly violent knifeporn; how his programming, fresh and new and shiny and terrifying, starts to fall apart again as soon as he confronts steve again.

let’s talk about steve rogers perfectly fucking willing to stay on a burning, crashing helicarrier to save the person who is no longer bucky barnes; who, if he can’t save bucky, is perfectly fucking willing to go down with him. because he’s with bucky ‘till the end of the line, and if he can’t be, then what does anything matter.
