If I had a penny for every time I got an adaptation of my favourite vampire book series with a "bad boy" vampire × powerful redhead otp where they stripped back their canonical dynamic in favour of the 'main' pairing in said adaptation, I would admittedly only have 2p BUT I am taking it as a sign that I'm fucking cursed
