I don't think we talk enough about how awesome the notes features are on gospel library. You can make your own footnotes with the link feature. You can organize quotes with the notebooks or make your own tag collection. You can just yap about what one word means to you in the notes, with a timestamp included. You can highlight or underline as much as you want. I wish there were more colors, but still. As far as I know, there is no limit to how many markings you can do. And it's free with your church account, and I can access it forever on my phone or computer.
speaker today in sacrament meeting snuck in a complaint about the world being confused about gender because he saw 17 different options for gender on some form, and I'm always stunned by only conservatives being able to find these cases. I've only ever seen 3 or 4 options max. where are they getting these from??
Me and my sister were the only ones in our ysa branch to show up to clean the church (except for bishop and his wife) last week. She said we did so good that we deserve to do one bad thing now, and I said that was just reinventing Catholic indulgences lol
Me when I see someone wish painful death and total eradication of all Mormons: Well golly, they seem awful upset. I'd better pray that they find peace in their hearts.
Me when my phone auto corrects "Deseret" to "dessert" or "desert": What is this hate crime? Why hast thou thrown in with the Prince of Darkness and all his odious ilk? When will my people be free?
It's hilarious to me when someone talks about our view of the godhead as if its peak mormon heresy. That's not even the tip of the iceberg. That's like the most normal thing we believe.
To help Utah wards distinguish their wards by something more than just numbers (shout out to my college wards, the Provo 89th and 152nd wards), they should name the wards after pioneers. Every ward gets a patron saint. A latter-day patron saint. You can even spend time studying their lives and tie it into family history or something.
My calling doesn't require I sacrifice a lot of time or energy but it DOES require I sacrifice a lot of blood. No idea why
It’s because the nursery leaders need your blood.
We pray your sacrifice will be enough to keep them at bay.
haha do you ever stop and remember that there's a whole entire musical dedicated to mocking your religion that's been running continuously on broadway for half your life and nobody in the world thinks twice about it lollllll 😜 it won nine tony awards 🤪
Does anyone have a comprehensive analysis of all the church hymns? I'm looking for something that goes through all 300+ and talks about the history of each one and how they were written.
Got it from Deseret Book if anyone else is interested!
do they still give out free bricks in nauvoo?
imagining someone who goes by the brickyard multiple times a day (in disguise) to get free bricks until they have enough to build a house
Fun fact: this how we built our beautiful chapel, brick by ill begotten brick.
At least that’s what Brother Shyster, the ward historian told me, and he doesn’t usually lie to me
No, I don't think I've ever been in a ward with a ward historian. That sounds awesome!
This is ridiculously funny.

Other highlights from the have-you-been-to-a-mormon-temple poll
The picture in question:
