It's cheesy and cliche but I actually love that the church preaches of joy so much.

Everything we do is centered on God and God is a god of joy. We are not created to be sad and miserable and guilty. We are not only permitted to be happy and celebrate and love but it is what we are meant to do. This life isn't a punishment, it's a blessing. The plan of salvation is the plan of ultimate happiness. It's not a plan of eternal punishments or rewards, it's a plan of everlasting joy for everyone. Adam fell that men might be and men are the they might have joy. That is why we are here. God wants us to be happy, in this life and the next.
