Hello! Making a quick rules & info post.

Introductions are in order though so: my name is Krill, I’m an adult, I’m alloaro, and I use they/he pronouns. (I’m also @bowlingseaslug so if you see that account reply to a comment that’s me!)

Please DM me if you notice a mistake so I don’t lose it in notifications <3

RULES!

1. This is very aromantic positive, go away if you have something negative to say about being aromantic.

2. The character doesn’t have to be canonically aromantic, it can be your headcanon!

4. Be respectful! Just in general, not just here. Be nice. If you say something somewhat rude or disrespectful I will delete it and move on.

5. Feel free to send as much propaganda as your heart desires.

6. I’m trying to keep this relatively drama free, which, similarly to rule 4, means that I’ll simply delete anything (like asks or submissions or comments) if they seem like they could be stirring something up.

7. Please point out if I messed up with anything! I know that I’ve made a few technical mistakes, but sometimes I’ve overlooked them, so please! Politely point them out if you notice them!

I do really want to get this going again, however school’s about to start (i’m starting university soon which involves moving so I’m gonna be busy and stressed) so idk when that will happen.

Also, if I do start this up again I might just do a complete start over. Have people submit characters again and just start anew.

The irony of the “umm incest and violence are bad and only evil men would be interested in that 😡” Puritanism being pedaled is that it guarantees that only men get to write about anything taboo and thus dark media is overwhelmingly misogynist.

It’s genuinely sickening how much vile harassment marginalized artists get for making anything darker than Owl House or whatever the Kids Cartoon De Jour is, because these people know how much easier it is to destroy an artist’s life if they’re already marginalized in some way.

Marginalised people (women included btw) are always always held to a much higher standard even in terms of respectability, policed often by members of their own community in a bid to appear more respectable, policed by supposed leftists who don't want to feel the slightest bit of discomfort to their protected conservative worldview which they never questioned, and at the end of it all privileged men are always going to be the only ones writing any controversial genre fiction because that's not gonna be a "hard sell" because no one's coming after them or anything. And so horror remains misogynistic and racist because the moment there's anything actually horrifying, nuanced, or unsanitized entertained in fiction by a marginalised person there's an angry horde with pitchforks already gathering at their window for it

TUMBLR IS CROSSING THE PICKET LINE

They are taking money from Netflix to promote a show.

Actors and writers are unable to promote work because of the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.

Netflix is under the AMPTP, so it is a struck company, making One Piece a struck work.

So they are using alternate ways of promoting their products, including paying companies like tumblr.

Both the WGA and SAG-AFTRA have made statements saying that they consider anyone or company taking payment to promote struck work as crossing the picket line.

Tumblr is spitting in the face of struggling actors and writers to make a quick buck from Netflix
