Hello, I am Gnome, welcome to my art blog. I am a freelance digital artist focused on character illustration and design for MMO and TTRP players. I love drawing robots, pin-ups, and monsters, and fashion design is one of my passions. Here you will find a lot of skulls, commissioned work, and the occasional piece of fanart from things like World of Warcraft, the Murderbot Diaries, and a few others.

As an artist, everything I create comes from a place of love, of joy, and of pleasure. My goal with commissions is not just to give you a cool looking picture of your character, but to give you an art piece filled with all the places I found love. I want you to be able to look at the finished piece and feel as if I’ve picked up your character, seen all the things that you love in them, highlighted them for all the world to see. Every character, no matter how scrungly, no matter how challenging, has something worth loving.

My favorite thing about taking commissions is that it often pushes me outside of my comfort zone and I learn a lot of new things in the process.

I decided not to work this fall because my health has been so unpredictable lately, so I've been brainstorming ways to make an income through my art. One thing I asked myself is "Who is my target audience, and what do they like?"

Well, I think my audience includes witches, queers, an weirdos, given that I am a weird and queer witch myself, and I know we love mushrooms. Despite knowing this, I did not to be as delighted by this sketch as I am.

I've been feeling good enough to draw lately, but haven't really got anything I want to draw, so. I've been doing art studies. These are from the Lachryma music video, and Papa V's Bohemian Rhapsody performance.

These were kind of fun to work out, especially the Ghouls playing guitar and the three Papas on the bottom. They're really different poses than I'd get from stock images.

Caythaes, now with void! and their voidling babies, Squishy, Oobly, and Purply! Cay has been told to stop collecting random octopodes, but they cannot help it. The lil cephalopods are TOO CUTE and CUDDLY.

I've been trying so hard to find a way to express how I've been feeling lately, and my mind keeps going back to Druregard at their worst. Drunk, self-destructive, self-deprecating, and full of self-loathing.

It's funny, in a not funny way, but the only person left in my life from that time is my spouse. Eightish years of progress, gone just like that.
