The most upsetting thing about Jean and the x-men coming to the mcu is that now whenever I look them up it’s just mcu content. Like why am I getting mcu Spiderman when I look up Jean? Get him tf outta here. I honestly hate that she’s now going to be associated with Spiderman especially since mcu Spiderman is lowkey the worst one.

rare batposting moment for me but,

it's kinda funny how everyone can notice and point out how jason has been in eternal stagnation, always reeling back to the same plot of fighting bruce, but i see so little people in comparison even acknowledge that the same thing has been happening to damian too

ever since he was created it's the same bullshit every run. batman (either bruce or dick) wonders whether damian can be trusted as robin, damian is hurt by their distrust, they argue, they put distance between eachother until plot interference forces them not to so that damian can "finally prove himself worth the robin mantle" and/or realize that being robin is what he wants to do

(that is, when damian isn't unwritten as an irrational violence robot who just wants to fight and kill everyone for the sake of it. thanks for nothing, morrison)

i'm in no way against familial relationship drama in comics, (quite the opposite actually!) but like, at what point will we have moved past the need for the nth damian "redemption" arc? he has participated in 3 runs where he is establishedly the robin by batman's side, and in 90% of all that time, he was either at odds with the batman of the time or dead. it's so cheap; writers don't like or know the character enough to create compelling drama surrounding them, so they just revert back to the very basics (that we've seen damian and his family get past time and time again.) can we just let his development be a thing or do we gotta revert back to 2006 every time he gets a writer that isn't williamson or tomasi?
