you know i try really hard not to have opinions on casting before i see the movie but i really hope Sadie Sink isn’t Jean Grey and she’s actually just FireStar or Spider Girl or some other character that would make more sense to be in a Spider Man film. other than the fact that Jean has nothing to do with Spider Man and i don’t want her debut to be in a Spider Man movie i really just don’t like Sadie as Jean.

sometimes you just have to sit and process the fact that if certain characters were white men instead of women or racialized or racialized women, people would actually en masse be invested in the literal text of the story and we would get the most elaborate heart wrenching fanworks pulling apart the intricacies of their character and backstories and lore. instead we live in racismisogyny world where these characters are relegated to being Background NPC or Minor Side Villain so that Twinkatron and Paleathan can get put into scenarios together for the 127th time
