OTP Questions: Dralittla (Drake + Melitta)
Who is the most affectionate?
I suspect Drake would be a tad bit more affectionate. Though likely not by much. They seem to share the ‘affection’ pretty frequently. Drake isn’t shy about it, and certainly enjoys showing it. Drake is always quick to cuddle/hug/kiss on Melitta. Though she reciprocates the sentiment as well!
No argument there! Drake is almost 99.99% of the time the big spoon, leaving Melitta to be the little one.
Most common argument?
There most common argument would likely revolve around work. The duo doesn’t have too many argumentive moments and they tend to see eye to eye with one another a lot more often than not. That being said, they keep one another in check and remind each other that they do have other obligations outside of their work-life (Melitta the workaholic gets more reminders than Drake does, I believe!)
Favorite non-sexual activity?
As a couple almost certainly going to the beach and the limitless possibilities that come with that! They could probably live right on the beach itself, and sorta do! In Lion’s Arch their estate does have some sweet beachfront property. So swimming, tanning, boating, all that good stuff would happen to be their favorite non-sexual activity.
Who is most likely to carry the other?
Physically? Drake, I don’t think Meli could physically carry Drake. (Big Blonde Dude) Drake is all too eager to do the carrying as well. Especially considering he enjoys spoiling her, and carrying Melitta falls under that giant patio sized umbrella.
Emotionally, however? I feel they do equal parts in that regard, each has had their traumas and they help one another out to the best of their ability. They are consistently there for one another, supporting each other and making sure they feel safe in one another’s embrace.
What is their favorite feature of their partner’s?
Speaking from Drake’s point of view, he loves Meli’s sense of adventure. It’s what drew him to her in the first place. Drake loves getting outdoors and exploring Tyria. Her sense of wonder and the thrill of wandering across the land is his favorite feature of Melittas. Plus he thinks she’s got a cute butt too.
What’s the first thing that changes when they realize they have feelings for the other?
Once Drake realized that she felt the same way, it was sort of all hands on deck. (Ship puns, get it? Cause Meli loves ships.. anyways..) Drake devoted himself to spending more of this free time with her at first, and even more so after realizing that they shared common feelings. He did his best to impress her and spoil her however he could find ways to do so!
Nicknames? If so, how did they originate?
Meli the ‘Mermaid’, ‘Lioness’ or ‘My Queen.’ and Drake her ‘Lionhearted’. For Meli her nickname I believe originated from other members of the Accord, and Drake swiftly adopted it and used it for her. He also gave her the nickname of Lioness and his Queen. Lioness for Drake’s house, which is centralized around a Lion, and of course ‘His queen’ For the devotion to her and how he aims to worship his Wife while holding her in such high regard.
Who worries the most?
Easily Drake, despite his sense of adventure, he’s also a bit of a helicopter Dad/Lover. He may jump off a cliff into the ocean himself, but the moment someone he cares for attempts it, he suddenly starts to make sure they are wearing twelve life vests, water floaties and a helmet.
Who remembers what the other one always orders at a restaurant?
They probably share it equally. Drake is a creature of habit and tends to stick with a tried and trusted dish. If he finds something he likes at a restaurant, very rarely will he deviate from it. So Meli probably knows what he’d eat at restaurant X mostly because that’s what he always gets. Whereas Drake knows what Meli would or wouldn’t like, considering he’s done a lot of the cooking in the household and knows what tickles her pallet.

I believe they are pretty equal in this regard. They both have their moments. though I feel Meli probably initiates them a bit more than Drake does.
Who reaches for the other’s hand first?
Drake probably would reach for the other’s hand first. Since he’s certainly a big touchy-feely guy. He loves to hold and cuddle Meli every chance he gets.
Who kisses the hardest?
Hmm… I’d probably assume Drake does. He’s rather driven when it comes to intimate encounters. He loves to put his all into romantic gestures, and kissing for him falls into that category. Once he gets started, it’s hard to get him to stop.
Who wakes up first?
With kids, it’s hard to say and likely differs from day to day. Though I feel overall Meli probably wakes before Drake, not by much though. Drake tends to be an early riser most mornings and has a series of morning rituals he undergoes before actually starting his day.
Who wants to stay in bed just a little longer?
I have a feeling Meli is more of a stay in bed person. Certainly when she’s in the mood to just relax an unwind. I feel Melitta would be more likely to just snuggle up under the sheets and read a book for an hour or so.
Who says I love you first?
I think it depends on what’s going on. They are pretty close to being even here. Meli certainly says it often, and Drake, he’s a big marshmallow with an iron-casing around him. So they share the “I love you’s”
Who leaves little notes in the other’s one lunch? (Bonus: what does it usually say?)
I certainly think Drake would be the one to slip love notes into places Meli would check throughout the day. Likely something along the lines of. “Having an amazing day, I love you.” or “Hey beautiful! Just thought you should know I’m thinking about you!”
Who tells their family/friends about their relationship first?
Drake most certainly informed his family first. Mostly because he knows how his family would react to him taking a suitor, and they’d probably just find out anyway.
What do their family/friends think of their relationship?
Drake’s parents enjoy Melitta. They both find her a good compliment to their son and see her as someone who takes the time to encourage his ideas and boost his confidence. They think Meli is a good fit for him, and are both excited to see what the future has in store for them both.
Who is more likely to start dancing with the other?
Drake, he loves to dance, and will steal that opportunity whenever he can! Even if there is no music to dance too!
Who cooks more/who is better at cooking?
Overall I think Drake has cooked more and is probably better at it. Considering it’s one of the few things he actually does well! He loves to cook, and every chance he gets to cook he will. Though lately he’s been helping Meli and encouraging her to do so as well since she’s expressed an interest in picking up the trait.
Who comes up with cheesy pick up lines?
Drake offers the dad-jokes and stupid pick up lines. Becuase he secretly lives for the groans and eye roll reactions.
Who whispers inappropriate things in the other’s ear during inappropriate times?
Meli and her horrible, teasing Mesmer magic. She whispers sweet nothings right into his head! How cruel. Especailly when he’s trying to be a boss or.. about to go smack around some bad-guy.
Who needs more assurance?
While they both need their fair share of assurance. I think Meli has more doubts about herself than Drake does. Drake is more than happy to help quell those doubts as well. Always ready to reassure her, and encourage her that she’s doing what is right. He’s a good cheerleader!
What would be their theme song?
Who would sing to their child back to sleep?
Probably Meli, I don’t picture Drake having a terribly fantastic singing voice. Though He’d probably get the baby to laugh a bit quicker with his singing voice. I feel that Meli would easily sing their children to sleep. But, I think when they are being fussy Drake probably has an easier time with calming them down.
What do they do when they’re away from each other?
They write letters back and forth. I’m pretty certain Meli’s delivery Raven has giant muscular wings because of it! That’s their thing! Whenever they are apart, they always send one another long, descriptive letters
One headcanon about this OTP that breaks your heart.
They both have had their share of trauma and were both in a rather dark place when they stumbled across one another. Their respective tales of struggling to find themselves, and seeking a light at the end of the tunnel would probably be the thing that ‘breaks my heart’.

I love what they’ve achieved, how happy they are together. It certainly warms your soul when you see the two interact with each other, and the way they play off one another. They are a really good fit together, and I absolutely love it!
