Loki sucks
The show, not the character.
I have reasons -
Loki, god of mischief gets caught without even trying to fight back.
The infinity stones are used as paperweights for a throwaway joke.
Loki gets slapped in slow motion for a throwaway joke.
Loki is a pretend terrorist for the sole purpose of a cool action scene.
Loki's entire character arch from Thor Ragnarok and Infinity War is undone by allowing him to survive in endgame. This is a gripe I had with endgame as well. Loki became a better man and was actually loved by Asgard in the end, but this version of Loki hasn't been through that yet. This is the brattier version of him that's continuing the story.
Finally, the show can go one of two ways and both ways kinda messes up the main timeline. One, it can result in Loki realising that the TVA is corrupt and there's a big CGI monster behind it all. Loki will have to fight it and then probably become the leader of the new TVA, setting up either a season 2 or a crossover with another show. But if that happens, then he contradicts his own timeline and if there's one consistent thing that Marvel's said about time travel, it's that messing up the main timeline results in darker alternate realities. This could be interesting but it still messes up the main timeline.
The other way this could go is that Loki has a journey of self-actualization with Mobius and then realises that he is responsible for his actions and chooses to go back into his own timeline, despite knowing his journey's end. This I actually like, but it's already been done by far superior movies like Arrival.
Now the thing is, I like both of those endings, but the execution matters. If you look at the events of episode one, it's telling a very interesting story, but it's executed very poorly switching from wacky and quippy to solemn and thoughtful without even a second of transition. The scene where loki sees his story's end is actually a really well done scene but is almost immediately undermined by another throwaway joke from Mobius.
In the end, the show still has potential, but so far it looks like Marvel isn't heading anywhere nice. Wandavision ended with a disappointing final episode, Falcon and Winter soldier was kinda pointless because it starts and ends with nearly the same events (I'll talk about it later). I feel like the most meaningful story of the Infinity Saga has already been told, and told well and maybe Marvel should just bow out gracefully instead of chasing as much money as they can get, unless of course, they have a much more meaningful story to tell but they're not going about it well.
With that being said, there are a few things I liked about the show. Tom Hiddleston is a great actor and I'm happy to see him back. Owen wilson is really good as Mobius M Mobius. I love the steampunk futuristic sets. I think they look really great. One of the highlights of the show is definitely the score. I really liked the soundtrack. Finally as I said earlier, I loved the scene where Loki sees the end of his journey.
With episode 3 out, let me just say I fucking called the TVA being evil thing.
At the same time, at least the show is getting better. The final ten minutes of episode 3 looked like one long camera shot and I loved that. Sylvie is actually a pretty cool character. Sure her dialogue is a bit meh at times but so is everyone else's.
