I know this really doesn't match with the aesthetic of my account but man I love humanity's fascination with the stars and space. Its so cute.

We've always looked at the same moon and found her so beautiful we decided to visit her.

We look to the stars for guidance, we look to them for stories and comfort on the loneliest of nights.

We created things to view the stars and the garden of the universe's creation closer to study it and admire it. Despite the fact that many of them died out and burned brightly millions of light years ago, we still consider them worthy enough to note down their placement in out skies, their formations, their patterns, their colours and sizes and how bright they shine.

We created and experiment for ways to see the far reaches of our solar system because humanity is all about moving forward and pushing onwards, and what's more forward than the stars?

We have zodiacs and star signs to feel more in tune with the universe and its wonderland.

We wish upon shooting stars whenever we can.

Humanity has never lost its love for the cosmos and I hope it never will. I hope we discover ways to see all the universe has to offer in a way that will not harm its natural beauty. To see everything our ancestors adored and worshipped.

And the greatest part is that we still have so much to learn about the greatness of the universe we happen to live in. There were a million chances for us to never have existed on this small, blue marble in the grand game of the universe, but we did. And now, we admire it.

I sincerely love how humanity has loved, does love and will continue to love the stars and the beautiful, wondrous garden we reside in.

Currently, an updated petition has begun. 1 million signatures get it sent to the house of Lords directly.

This isn't about protecting children, it's about stripping the people of privacy. They intend, with this act, to take away end-to-end encryption from apps such as WhatsApp or Snapchat (any social media wherein texting is available) so that the government can, at random, read EVERYTHING you have ever sent to anyone.

They want to take my access to nude art pose sites that I use for my university because I refuse to give my ID to a third party I don't trust. They have nothing in place to prevent data breaches, and nothing we have done has been taken seriously. I voted Labour in the hopes that, with conservatives off the ruling, maybe the economy could improve, my rights wouldn't be stripped away, and yet here I still am attempting to stop the government from being horrible, money grabbing, power hungry dictators.

Sign the petition, and sign all others to get this Act under control before we lose every right to personal privacy we had.

"People with severe mental illness" also refers to, you know, mentally ill people. They want to disappear people who are not sane. Especially queer people and people seen as women who are not sane. It's important to talk about how sanism is weaponized against all marginalized groups, but like. It is ALSO bad when people who are genuinely "severely mentally ill" (which many homeless people are) are disappeared. Sanist violence isn't upsetting only when it happens to people who aren't REALLY crazy.

Ao3 is a non-profit organisation. If they have to start paying taxes, I have no idea what will happen.

I'd like to remind everybody that this isn't just about A03 or civil rights organizations. This could be applied to any 501 organization. That includes churches, schools, museums and library support organizations. All sorts of support organizations like soup kitchens or places like goodwill. Those are all non-profit organizations and they all have a 501 status. This is a threat to every civil organization we have that is meant to help the public.

So please contact your representatives. Please look this up on Twitter and click the link so you can call your representatives and voice against this. Because there's a hell of a lot more at stake with a bill like this than just ao3. People's lives could be at risk.
