For artists who have problems with perspective (furniture etc.) in indoor scenes like me - thereās an online programm called roomsketcher where you can design a house/roon and snap pictures of it using different perspectives.
Itās got an almost endless range of furniture, doors, windows, stairs etc and is easy to use. In addition to that, you donāt have to install anything and if you create an account (which is free) you can save and return to your houses.

The plan for the 17th, when the adult content ban comes in, is to protest.
To do that, we are making as much noise either side of the 17th as possible, and using the site as normal.
On the 17th, dead silence.
People are saying log off but what they really mean is donāt open the site or the app.
But, on the 17th make as much noise as possible on every other platform. Tweet about it and post on facebook and instagram and everywhere else.
What this does is causes a massive dip in ad revenue for one single day. That does not make staff think āoh everyoneās gone letās shut down.ā What it actually makes them think is āoh shit people arenāt happy and if people donāt keep using our site weāre out of money and out of jobs.ā
A boycott reminds a company that the users (consumers) have the power to make their site (business) worthless with one single coordinated decision.
If you want to join in, hereās what to do:
Do:
Close all open instances of the app and site on all your devices before the 17th
Make posts before and after the 17th on tumblr and other platforms, talking about why this ban is bad
Make posts on other sites during the 17th. Flood the official tumblr staff twitter and facebook with your anger and your opinion
Come back on the 18th and check in
Donāt:
Delete the app from your phone (this doesnāt affect their revenue and since itās off the store at the moment itāll be hard to get back)
Delete your account. I mean you can if you want to, but if you keep your account and donāt use it youāre saying to staff that thereās still time to save it. If you delete itās hard work to come back.
Open the app or website (including specific blogs)
Make any posts (turn down/off your queue and make sure nothing is scheduled)
Go quiet elsewhere. Make it clear that this is just about tumblr, not a mass move away from all social media.
Remember: the execs donāt care about anything but money. Shutting down the site means thereās $0 further income from it. Thatās their last possible course of action. If we make it clear weāre not happy, theyāll have to do something or we can do more and more until it becomes too expensive.
Protests take commitment. Theyāre a defiant action against a business that is doing something wrong. They will try to scare you into not participating, because theyāre scared. We hold all the power here, sometimes the execs just need to be reminded of that.
"When I asked for help or asked if anyone was still there, nobody would answer," said Alex. "I felt alone. I felt scared."
Nov. 23, 2018
POWHATAN, Virginia ā Alex Campbell was just 7 years old when, he says, his principal dragged him down the hall to the schoolās ācrisis room.ā
Administrators reserved the room, a converted storage closet, for children who acted out. He still remembers the black-painted walls. The small window he was too short to reach. The sound of a desk scraping across the floor, as it was pushed in front of the door to make sure he couldnāt get out.
Alex, who has autism spectrum disorder, says he was taken there more than a half-dozen times in first grade, for behavior such as ripping up paper or refusing to follow instructions in class. The room was supposed to calm him down. Instead, it terrified him.
āWhen I asked for help or asked if anyone was still there, nobody would answer,ā Alex said. āI felt alone. I felt scared.ā
According to the latest data collected by the U.S. Department of Education, public school districts reported restraining or secludingĀ over 120,000 students during the 2015-2016 school year, most of them children with disabilities. Families and advocates have documented cases of students being pinned down, strapped to their wheelchairs, handcuffed or restrained in other ways. Both practices, experts say, can traumatize children, and may lead to severe injuries, even death.
Alex is determined to close the seclusion rooms for good. Last week, the 13-year-old told his story to legislators, congressional staff and advocates to mark the introduction of the Keeping All Students Safe Act, a bill that would bar the use of seclusion and significantly curtail the use of restraints in schools that receive federal funds. No federal law currently regulates the use of such practices on students.
āWe believe schools should have a safe environment for students to learn and grow,ā said Rep. Bobby Scott of Virginiaās 3rd Congressional District. Scott sponsored the legislation with fellow Democrat Rep. Don Beyer of Virginiaās 8th District.
āItās a civil rights issue,ā added Scott, who serves as the ranking member of the House Committee on Education and the Workforce. āChildren should not be subjected to practices that are counterproductive, endangering their safety or health.ā
Alex tried to keep the ācrisis roomā a secret.
No laws required school administrators to tell his parents what was happening. Alex says the principal warned him that if he said anything, he would spend the rest of the year locked in the room.
But Alexās parents said they could tell something was wrong. They noticed unexplained bruises on his knees. He became increasingly anxious. His father Sean Campbell, who works as a data specialist in a public school system, thought it was especially strange when Alex visited the school where he worked and asked where the children got ālocked up.ā He stopped wanting to go to sleep.
āThatās when it hit me,ā Campbell, Alexās father, said. āHe doesnāt want to wake up because he doesnāt want to go to school.ā
Eventually, Alex broke.
āHe started babbling like crazy,ā Campbell said. āāI canāt go back to that room. I canāt go back.āā
The idea of the school not notifying them appalled Alexās mother, Kelly Campbell, who has taught in public schools for 11 years. āIf a child falls on the playground and bumps their head, Iām obligated to call the parents,ā she said. āIāve been told that in every school Iāve worked with. Something like that could happen to Alex, and nobody has to know about it? Like itās some dark secret?ā
While a landmark piece of federal legislation called the Individuals With Disabilities Education Act, or IDEA, mandates that all students with disabilities are provided with a free public education tailored to meet their needs, regulations governing the use of restraint and seclusion in schools vary from state to state. Many states donāt require school administrators to notify parents when their child is restrained or secluded. According to a recent analysis published by the Autism National Committee, only 28 states provide āmeaningful protections against restraint and seclusionā for children, including those with disabilities.
guys this is so fucking important. The usage ofĀ ācrisis roomsā caused me long lasting trauma as a child and are SUPER widespread. nobody notices. nobody cares. its a very quiet kept practice and nobody cares because its in the name of āhelpingā. I would be locked in an empty classroom for the entire school day on many occasions. godspeed to this kid.Ā
As far as I'm aware, I'm not on the spectrum (I could be wrong, who knows), but I even got locked in a room like this when I was very young. They FORGOT ME. Like literally forgot I was in this tiny room and everyone went home and then finally like a half hour after school, the principal came in there and was surprised to see me. She had to drive me home and apologize to my parents while tiny little me sobbed my eyes out.
It has been five years since I've put on a homestuck costume. Even more than that since I've read any of the comic. And yet, still. Somehow. I always manage to look at the time at 4:13.
Repeat after me
-Iām an idiot and wrong.
-Veganism can be made affordable.
-Veganism is fucking cruelty free. Thatās what itās all about.
- Veganism is the best choice for everyone, if everyone did it.
-Iām a fucking asshole for making this completely wrong text post and should shut the hell up now.
People are literally starving in South America because all the Quinoa crop is being exported mainly for white vegans who want to live ācruelty-freeā but donāt care about brown people as much as they do about animals.
hello i am also here with The Science⢠to back up the fact veganism is NOT even the most sustainable dietary option for humanity, like not even in the ballpark of close
Vegans literally think that their awful lifestyle is cruelty free because vegans don't care about humans at all. Brown people are dying?? Well at least we saved some chickens from having those eggs harvested!!
Since shit is hitting the fan in regards to administration on Tumblr, give me a moment to make this post
Kinks and fetishes are a normal part of human sexuality and the fact that so many LGBT people treat it as āgross and yuckyā (on par with the abstinence only education gurus screaming SEX IS TERRIFYING AND WILL ONLY LEAD TO BAD THINGS) is such a damn shame because we have such a rich history of instances when kink and LGBT has crossed paths.
Youāre also alienating the LGBT folks who participate in kink, fetish, and BDSM when you have stuff on your post thatās equivalent to āDONāT INTERACT IF ICKY KINKSTERā
Get over yourself. Iām so scared for teen LGBT folks thinking their kinks and fetishes are something that needs to be repressed if itās a totally normal fetish that doesnāt involve nonconsensual stuff.
Kinks and fetishes are apart of normal human sexuality development. Stop demonizing it.
Okay but the part about āas long as it doesnāt involve nonconsensual stuffā is really undermining the rest of the post. Time to point out again that rape fantasy is one of the THE most common human fantasies, that studies have shown that up to 60% of women have them, and that they are a perfectly normal and healthy part of human sexuality.
Kink is normal and healthy, and that INCLUDES nonconsensual fantasies.
As someone who often roleplays in the bedroom, I absolutely agree with all of this! I participate in rape fantasy, in underage fantasy, in fucking pretending that we're both characters from some stupid fandom fantasy. When I see posts made by young lgbt people saying stuff like "DON'T TOUCH IF U LIKE DDLG" I'm like, man do you even know what you're saying?
As long as kinks are between two (or more) consenting adults, there is literally no reason for anyone to get up in arms over it. Rape roleplay is not the same as actual rape. DDLG is not the same as actually fucking a minor. The sooner people get this, the sooner we can all come together and stop shaming kinks in our diverse community. We should not ever EVER feel ostracized just because we like something that is deemed "icky" or "wrong". Especially when a vast majority of us use these particular kinks as a means of coping with trauma that might have happened in our pasts.
