Welcome to the Kingdom. We like wood, we specialise in wood of many sizes. Playing peoples flutes is our main priority, no matter what size we like blowing them.
"This thing about being a rebel, being an outsider, also has its price. I always took a step away from everyone else. (...) That’s just how I was. I didn’t join our school trip in the ninth grade and I didn’t go to the graduation either, because I didn’t want to join in. I didn't belong there. Even now in adulthood when I have a lot of things that I should be happy about and I’m really as far from all that as possible, I still have… I don’t know if it’s a nightmare, but I have a recurring dream where I’m still that age and I’m at home, alone, feeling as if I shouldn’t be there, that I should be where the others are but I'm not."
- Tobias Forge, Sweden Rock Mag 2020
"It's so important to spend time together, and have fun together, smiling together, feeling you're belonging somewhere, don't you think? It is a wonderful feeling. I've always felt that if I just got to the end of the rainbow, whatever is there, I will find belonging... And I'm assuming that this is it. The belonging that we're sharing."
- Papa Emeritus IV's speech in Indianapolis 8/22/2023
Hey so a small thing that literally everyone who sees this is capable of is correcting any “used to” statements about native people in this country.
“Native people used to live in this National Park” No. They still do.
“Native people used to tell these stories-” No. They still do.
“Native people used to use this plant as a natural remedy-” No. They still do.
Better yet, familiarize yourself with the tribes local to you. Odds are, they do not yet have federal recognition. You can still read the stories they have to share, you can share their ongoing battle for recognition with others, you can sign petitions and spread the word to others to do so as well. But do something.
Actually when I say “fuck all billionaires” I particularly mean Taylor “having my wedding in the middle of the busiest city in the world on the busiest weekend in the world in the part of the city the majority of commuters need to get through because fuck working people” Swift
it's always ethical to kidnap an outdoor cat and make them an indoor cat. shithead owner will just assume a car or coyote got them. outdoor cats are bad for the environment, local wildlife and themselves. the only one that benefits from an outdoor cat is the lazy piece of shit owner that doesn't want to actually look after their cat. give that outdoor cat a better life, a longer life.
It is a truly massive undertaking to assemble data of this kind, and while I don't have EVERY named Risen on this chart, I do have every named Guardian with a stated class.
For any interested party, all assembled data this chart was drawn from is listed here!
The raw data is below, along with some basic stats.
I'll have specific data for the ACTUAL reason this started, gender percentages, later. Stay tuned!
On average, Guardians are Living Male Human Hunters, aligned with the Vanguard as Guardian.
The least common form of Guardian with a Light subclass is a dead Female Awoken Stormcaller, aligned with any unique faction or fireteam.
The rarest form of Guardian overall is a Female Awoken Warlock with any form of Darkness Subclass.
For specific classes:
For Hunters with known Subclass, not accounting for Dark subclasses which are, by their nature, rarer, the most common is a male human Arc user, the rarest being an Awoken Nightstalker of either gender.*
Not accounting for gender or race spread across Subclass, the rarest would be an Awoken female Nightstalker.
In general, Hunters tend to be male and alive.
For Titans with a known Subclass, not accounting for Dark subclasses which are, by their nature, rarer, the most common is a male human Striker, the rarest being a Male Sunbreaker of really any race.
Not accounting for gender or race spread across Subclass, the rarest would be an Awoken Female Sunbreaker.
In general, Titans tend to be male and dead.
For Warlocks with a known Subclass, not accounting for Darkness subclasses which are, by their nature, rarer, the most common is a Female Human Voidwalker, the rarest being an Awoken Stormcaller of either gender.*
Not accounting for gender or race spread across Subclass, the rarest would be an Awoken Male Stormcaller.
In general, Warlocks tend to be female and alive.
*When I say "Either gender" I mean eithr gender actually listed in the game. We have ONE nonbinary character, and they aren't a Guardian.
I'm not being transphobic the data literally only has two points that aren't empty. This is a Bungie thing, not a Kaz thing.
*"Alive*" is listed as such because of the extraordinary circumstances surrounding Saint being.. alive right now.
Disclaimers:
This data set is not intended to be used as any sort of bludgeon against any creators in this space for their OCs, AUs, or headcanons not fitting the actual stats of the game.
This project has been undertaken purely for academic curiosity.
This is, at time of posting, (7/5/26) an incomplete set, not all causes of death are listed and not every named Risen is included.
Some assumptions have been made regarding certain characters given context clues by the narrative.
All data was taken and assembled BY HAND, from Destinypedia and crosschecked with Ishtar Collective.
No AI was used in this project.
Honestly! Not actually that long. Most of the data is entirely collected easy to access on the wiki and cross-checking with Ishtar isn’t that hard because of the search system. Maybe three days total? It will take a bit longer to get all classless and Non-Guardian Risen in here because they’re more scattered on the wiki. The hardest part is just formatting it to be readable to others lol
I’m glad it’s interesting to other people though! It’s a fun project, I like data.
