Being asexual and racist is embarassing as fuck. Being racist at all is obviously embarassing as fuck but the amount of racism and especially antiblackness i have been seeing from asexuals recently is obscene.

One of the only asexual activists is Yasmin Benoit, a Black woman. She has raised so much awareness for the community. She was the first asexual person to lead Pride in London, she started the #thisiswhatasexuallookslike movement and is THE leading voice for the community.

And you all will celebrate international asexuality day on April 6th but we wouldn't even have that if she hadn't cofounded it.

modern day teenage dirtbag lily evans

working class lily who attends a private school on a scholarship, wears band t-shirts under her uniform, and always has scraped knees from falling off her bike. she’s always top of the class but speaks too fast for most people to keep up. and even though she swears like a sailor and rarely lets anyone’s grammatical errors slide, her classmates and teachers still can't help but like her. because, despite all that, she has a laugh that feels like a breath of fresh air, a knack for offering blunt encouragement that spurs anyone on, an absolutely unquestionable sense of justice, quirky fashion choices that just work, puns too clever not to laugh at, and an endearing habit of scolding you while slipping a compliment in somewhere. she's too clumsy to be considered elegant, too beautiful to go unnoticed, too loud to be silenced, and too funny not to be captivating.

Thoughts on Griddle fanon characterization:

It is very important to me that Gideon Nav is seen as a Losergirl. Seriously, she isn’t suave. She THINKS she’s suave, but she isn’t. She IS funny, especially when she’s the one narrating. Gideon is, in canon, a homeschooled teenager from a religious backwater planet and has canonically never touched a titty that wasn’t printed on paper or attached to her body. Don’t get me wrong, she is The Character of All Time.

But we all need to remember that this motherfucker blushed and stuttered when an older woman so much as batted an eyelash at her. She’s got as much game as Luke Skywalker going to Toshi Station to pick up some power converters. She’s amazing. Losergirl representation.
