On paper Project Hail Mary is a return mission but Grace and Rocky still knew that underneath everything it's just not possible and it's a suicide mission. Karen! Adrian (Listen I'm holding myself back from making this grockdrian okay???) and Daredevil! Rocky are left mourning.

Plot twist:

Grace still meets Eridian Rocky and names him Rocky because he reminds him of his husband so much and he names Rocky's mate Adrian only as a name sake for his own Adrian also to avoid confusion by naming Eridian! Rocky's mate the same name as himself.
