I am Philippe. I'm Mr. Corbeau's right hand man and muscle here at the Rust Syndicate.
There's not much to know about me. I'm a steel-type specialist. My partner Pokémon is Skarmory. If I'm Mr. Corbeau's right hand man, my Skarmory is my right hand 'mon. That's all that you need to know.
…that, and I also have a son. His name’s Draven. He’s fifteen years old, and I would lay down my life for him. If anyone messes with him, they’re messing with me. His blog is @i-suggest-vandalism .
Send me asks if you want. I'll do what I can to answer, so long as it doesn't harm the Syndicate or Mr. Corbeau in any way.

OOC: Hi! I'm Emmet! My main blog is @gayluigi :D This is my ask blog for Philippe from Legends Z-A!
I'm over 21 years old, and this blog may get NSFW at times, depending on what happens, so please keep that in mind!!
Rules are as follows:
Things may not necessarily align with canon here! I'll do my best starting out, but things may begin to drift away from canon, so we'll see how things go!
If your OCs are the relatives of canon characters, please shoot me a message before interacting so I can be aware!
I'm a multishipper, so unless I decide to take things exclusive with another writer, feel free to interact with my boy with romantic intentions if you're so inclined! (Edit: additional information below)
Like I said, I'm over 21, so things may get a bit NSFW at times. I won't be doing explicit sexual content, but Philippe isn't a squeaky clean guy. He drinks, he smokes, he gets into fights... I will do my best to tag common triggers, but if you need something tagged, please don't hesitate to shoot me a message! I tend to be very forgetful, so if I miss something, I don't mind you reaching out to me!
Tag me in things, send me asks, message me, do whatever!! I'm totally open to being contacted!! I'm a friendly guy, so don't be intimidated by me!! I'm open to shortform or longform, but I'd rather do it in threads than through multiple asks. If I'm taking too long, feel free to shoot me a message!! Sometimes I get distracted!! (AuDHD for lyfe!)
Please don't involve me in drama. I'm too old for that kind of thing at this point. I've done my time in the discourse wars, but I've grown up since then. I've got better things to do with my time xD
These are my main ships at the moment:
Shipping Philippe with @toxicorvus ‘s Corbeau will be “#moonbeau”.
Shipping Philippe with both toxicorvus’ Beau and @harmonysgambit will be “#queen’s gambit”.
Shipping Philippe with @indeedeehugger ,my friend Lemon’s OC Fergus, will be “#ferlippe”.
I’ll be sure to update this with any additional ships I may acquire.
IMPORTANT: Anything that happened with ask-corbeau is now retconned!! I am now completely independent despite our blogs having similar names.
[OOC: BTW guys, I’m sorry I’ve been so patchy in my replies lately!! Executive dysfunction is kicking my entire ass, I’m falling behind in schoolwork, it’s a whole thing 😅 BUT I’m gonna have a round of TMS therapy soon, so hopefully that pulls me out of the mental ditch I’ve been stuck in for a while!! I had my first round about 10 years ago, so I figure it’s time for a booster round lol!!! I responded to it super well last time, so hopefully it’ll help just as much this time around and I can get back to being an active member of the Rotomblr community!!!
I love yall!!! Keep bein’ awesome!!! Hopefully I’ll have some time this weekend to sneak a couple replies in!!]
Hello, hello! What are your thoughts on Urbain/Taunie’s croissant curry? I don’t know if you’ve had it or not, but it’s this big tower of rice and curry with croissants around it.
It’s an absolute abomination normally (and an insult to Kalosian cuisine), but as a hangover cure, it’s not the worst thing I’ve ever experienced.
You got a letter. It is handwritten, and very rough.
“Hello.
This is a formal battle request.
Astra”
- @astra-the-pokemon-trainer
Philippe couldn't help but chuckle at the sight of the letter. It seemed like Astra was finally ready to battle.
However, there was one minor problem.
Philippe penned a letter back to Astra:
"Hello, Astra.
I have received your battle request, and I accept.
However, according to your blog, you are currently healing from a broken leg. I will not battle you in this state. It would put you at an obvious disadvantage.
This is completely hypothetical but I can’t help but ask:…if forced to choose between protecting Draven vs your Boss’ life, which would you choose? We know you would do anything for either one of them
...this is a difficult one. I feel awful for even answering this. But the answer is Draven. The boss and I... we've had plenty of good years. Draven's life is just beginning. I couldn't just throw Draven's entire future away. Mr. Corbeau would understand, or at least I'd hope that he would.
people will act like they're sooo different for having a thing for ghost or dark types when in reality I've never met someone passionate about steel types in all of my born years
So I found this alpha Squirtle in Wild Zone twenty a few months back, and it took everything I had ever o mak that fat little guy my first Pokémon (fractured arm :/)
I’ve since trained the little fella up to a Blastoise, and every time he uses hydro pump, it’s like he’s shooting an Electrode made of water at the opponent, and I’m just astounded every time. I’ve gotta say, I’m really proud of him, it took him nearly a full month before he started listening to me in battle and we’ve already hit E rank in the Z-A Royale.
It takes guts to take on an Alpha without a team of your own, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else reading this. A broken arm isn't fun, but things could have gone much worse for you, anon. You're lucky it didn't do more damage to you. I'm honestly not sure how you even managed to catch it.
I'm glad that things have ultimately worked out well for you, but again, this is behavior I would not recommend emulating. Wild Zone 20 is not a place for beginner trainers. Going there without any Pokémon is like taking on Victory Road with a single level 5 Rattata.
The ghost suddenly disappeared when hit with the charm, and Colette let out a breath of relief, letting her wings droop.
"That was... really scary," Colette admitted with a frown. "I've never had to fight a human ghost before."
Philippe let out a breath of his own as the ghost disappeared, shoulders sagging a bit, though not enough to drop Ishimaru. He knelt to the ground and picked up the charm that had been dropped when the ghost disappeared, and he put it back in Ishi's pocket for him.
"I'm assuming this is something really important, if it can banish ghosts like this," Philippe mused. "Thank you... both of you. You did wonderfully. Do we need to stop by the Pokémon Center before taking Ishi home?"
As the air returned to normal Stuffy gave them a bow, trotting back over to Philippe and shaking his head before hopping up to check on his trainer. He was sleeping normally now. He could see that much and he couldn't help but gently pat his head as he mumbled in his sleep and snuggled into Philippe's chest. But... it proved it hadn't been sleep walking. Not this time.
That ghost... What did it want? What could he have that it dragged him out there to hurt him like that? Something... wasn't right. It didn't feel like the usual haunting they dealt with. Sure he'd had to fight off ghosts before but those had all been Pokemon and none of them had done this. Maybe... Maybe he shouldn't be alone in case this happened again...
"Neither have I. This is the first time this has happened. Something isn't right..."
Philippe nodded affirmatively. "Alright..." He paused. "Draven gave me permission to let Ishi stay for a while... maybe I'd better take Ishi to our apartment so he's not alone in case something like this happens again."
Colette frowned at Stuffy, brow furrowing. "That's really scary... I hope that this was just a fluke, that it doesn't happen again!"
Philippe frowned as Ishi approached. He knew that Ishi likely had it handled from here since the Ghost-type was drowsy now... but damn if he didn't want to make the stupid Froslass faint!!
Still, he stepped aside obediently, growling at the Froslass in warning. If the Pokémon made any more attempts on Ishi, he would gladly attack it again.
It would turn its full attention to him and struggle harder when he spoke, a meek noise leaving him before he took a deep breath and sent out the capture disk. With a few swift circles he would transfer his intent to it and sigh in relief as it stopped and fell asleep. It was strangely harder to do when it came to Ghost types but the state it was in had made it easier this time. Though he knew better than to take his chances and let Skiddo know to keep an eye on it. At least now trainers could come into the zone.
"C-capture on! A-ah... T-thank goodness... S-skiddo? I-I eh... P-please watch her until they c-can come to handle her..."
Philippe growled at the now-subdued Froslass. Without being caught in a Pokéball, it wasn't as securely captured as it would be otherwise, so he was going to keep a very close eye on it.
"You'd better be on your best behavior, ghost," Philippe warned. "If you pull any funny business, I'll be here to put you back in your place."
That’s actually what got me into caring for steel types after seeing how scared Wally looked after being treated at the Pokemon Center. So now I can answer pretty much any question about any steel type (save for a few special cases). And also I might try out this ZA Royale thing. Seems fun. Although only Wally and Kanda will participate.
I'm sure they'll enjoy the exercise. The Royale is a great way to burn off some extra energy at the end of the day. The rewards that come along with it aren't too bad either. I just have to make sure my son doesn't spend the entire night battling... He's a talented trainer, but even talented trainers need their sleep.
I see... hopefully your birth mother isn't as secretive as the woman who raised you. If there's anything the Syndicate can do to help you find her, we'd be happy to help. I'm sure Emma from the Looker Bureau would be happy to help as well.
I… might actually look into it. The first step is finding out where I came from. Because I may not actually come from Hoenn. Not that it’ll change anything. Hoenn still feels like home.
Ah... yes, that would be something to look into. Hopefully the birth certificate will give you some clues as to where you came from. Looking up the hospital's name would be your first step.
Yeah that didn’t actually help. I was apparently born in the biggest hospital in Kanto, so there’s little chance they kept her contact information from thirty years ago. Still, probably doesn’t hurt to try.
Damn. I'm sorry to hear that. This is gonna be a tough search. I'll keep my eyes and ears open, though. Mr. Corbeau's Johtonian by birth, but spent some of his younger years in Kanto, so he's got some connections there that could possibly look into things.
