Farewell

Figured I'd make a post to say I am officially retiring from ask blogging for good, and probably from Pokemon in general. This has been a special interest of mine for over a decade, and it's been fun, truly. I made great friends, had some fun memories and my creative brain was stimulated in ways that I never thought possible. I only have you guys to thank for it.

Thank you for entertaining my stories and characters, for being there through my OCs' journeys, and for helping me grow as a person. I've learned a lot about myself through Dimitri, and have expanded on him and other characters I made in the process.

I've lost friends, but made new ones along the way, and to those who stuck with me for years, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Because my special interests and hyperfixations have changed, I cannot in good conscience keep this blog running, or any of my other blogs for that matter. That's not to say they'll be deleted, they won't be, they'll still be up for the world to see, but I will be closing asks on them indefinitely. The characters will all still remain, but what I do with them will depend on how I feel, but I will not be doing anything Pokemon related anymore.

Anyway, if you made it this far, thank you for reading my little tangent, I love you all dearly, and farewell. May 2024 bring you all joy and better memories. Goodbye, до свидания 🖤

“You don’t have to ‘check up’ on me every single week, nothing changes. I’m fine, and am perfectly content where I am.” the Gothitelle said, his voice accidentally getting gruff. “You’re doing what I absolutely fucking hate, and that’s treating me like a cripple. I’m your brother, not your patient, so treat me as such. Visit me like you’re visiting family, not like you’re constantly checking on my health like you already do. You’re wasting your time constantly coming here, so stop it.”

A pause, silence. Andrei pondered all the words that his older brother said. All this time the model thought he was doing a service, but in reality he had inadvertently become what his brother disliked. He bowed his head slowly, and nodded. It needed to be said, however, and the magician knew this. He knew it would hurt, but it was necessary. He sighed, and slowly stepped closer to the silently weeping Psychic-type.

“I will...” he whispered, sniffing briefly. “I’m so sorry, Dimitri... for being so overbearing. But, I’m thankful for your honesty...” 

The magician nodded slowly.

“I hope you know that I love you, Andrei, I always will. I tell you this out of love.”

(( Hey soooo, it's been a while since I've been here. I'll just straight up say I've lost my motivation for this blog and my other blogs. I might come back eventually, but seeing all the asks I gotta answer is a bit intimidating, not gonna lie. I want to answer some of them, but thinking of how to draw the responses is exhausting and stressful.

When I do come back, I'll more than likely purge the ask box and start anew. As much as I'd love to answer some of the asks, I just cannot. So starting over might help me. If you sent me something and I didn't answer it, I'm very sorry. You're welcome to send another, or your original one rephrased.

Again uh, really sorry for the absence. I'll come back when I have the motivation for Pokemon. I've currently got miscellaneous OC and FFXIV brainrot, as well as university and other mental health stuff.

I do plan to come back with an ask prompt involving WM, so stay tuned for that

“I will say, my mother was very into the dark magical and Shamanic practices of our village, more so than is usually considered healthy.” he explained. “I wouldn’t be surprised if she cursed me for whatever reason.”

About to enter kill mode hi hello this is one of my favourite blogs with probably one of the most iconic characters in pokeask if you ask me. I'm looking at the wishmaster so respectfully. He's a bastard. He's so well written. How do you manage to make a man so evil but so likeable?? How?? I want nothing but the best for him. The art?? /chefs kiss/ I ✨ wish ✨ I was this good with posing and anatomy. All of Dasha's blogs are seriously amazing so anyone who's not following all of them should maybe do that.

Also hi Fance you're getting roped in with this how terrible for you :)

Seriously though Leilani and Kass is another one of my favourite blogs- Your art's absolutely gorgeous but I especially want to give props to the backgrounds you do, they're breathtaking. Lei's absolutely adorable, it's so easy to believe that she's a little kid which can be so hard to do because writing realistic dialogue for kids is so difficult, and then there's Kass. He sucks he's an ass he's very much a love-to-hate character for me 10/10 you're so brave for choosing to make a kommo-o and then drawing him consistently.

“I was a child, yes. I did not enjoy it, however. I hate looking back on my past, so you will have to excuse me for my vagueness.” the Gothitelle said softly, but very bluntly. It was clear he was done with this conversation.

@Baozhai: "So you didn't care much for me getting your name through your mind, ey?" the Gothitelle chuckled, the snark heavy his tone. "I mean, it's not like I could have peered into your past or anything. Oh wait, I already have~" as he held his chin a little, baring his renowned toothy grin, his eyes narrowed. His lips closed, and he thought, recounting what he remembered from last time. "Hm... a desert, empty of luxuries, but with ruins remaining of what once stood." he stopped for a moment, and his brows suddenly furrowed in confusion. He saw... something more. "... six, seven... eight?"

The Cofagrigus had been minding her own business. Yemir wasn't around, for once. Baozhai had allowed the giant some reprieve from her watchful gaze. It was doubtful Yemir would have wandered far anyway. Even the Cofagrigus understood the importance of privacy every once in a while. Besides, even if Yemir opted for the foolish decision of ditching the mummy. She would not get far. Most giants were easy to follow, after all.

All one needed to do was follow the destruction.

"Baozhai."

The same voice called to the ghost, causing her to spin around, ready to pull her sword at a moment's notice. She paused. Staring ahead, it was none other than that obnoxious Gothitelle from before. The one that had the audacity to read her mind. "Oh, it's you.", the ghost spat. Her contempt anything but hidden at this point. How fortunate for Wish Master that Baozhai was a patient Cofagrigus, even as he so brazenly displayed the details of her mind out in the open without a care in the world.

Then again, some desires were difficult to avoid. Especially when the thought of slicing out his tongue and feeding it back to the Gothitelle glazed over Baozhai's mind.

But alas, she knew better than to stir trouble at this point in time. Even if her ego demanded it.

Yet, at the man's visible confusion, Baozhai couldn't help but feel a bit smug herself. A subtle smile spreading across her face. "Ah, confused, are we? I understand if scraping the surface of such majesty leaves you bewildered. truly. tell you what, though. If you take such confidence in your telepathy. Please, I invite you to try again. Surely my feeble brain is naught but an open book before your greatness." Baozhai displayed such a great degree of confidence, one couldn't help but wonder if she was truly bluffing or not. Either way, she was prepared for the Gothitelle this time.

Of course, the magician simply couldn’t resist another chance to prod, plus the reactions he received were brilliant to him, he relished. As his sarcasm died down a little and he prepared to peer into the Cofagrigus’ mind, he saw… sensed, something…

He then felt an eerie warmth near him. A haunted fire. As his light perception had improved lately, he saw a very stark brightness before him, behind Baozhai.

This unusual figure, with the great plume of fire upon its head, and for the first time in years, he saw a mouth. The light no doubt playing a part in his visual perception of this face. He was taken aback for sure.

Holy fuck, he thought, before actually speaking.

He was confused still, if not a little concerned.

“I can’t see details too well within the silhouette of a figure, but the outside edges of the silhouette have gotten clearer for me to see, so that’s helpful at the very least.” the Gothitelle said softly. “With pretty much all figures, their eyes illuminate. With Dark types, the eyes still illuminate for me, but much more dimly.”

He sighed before giving a smirk.

“But hey, I’ll take temporarily blurry over complete blackness any day~”
