With no one to help her, Blake caught between a rock and a hard place: can she still trust her estranged wife? Can she save her parents?

I FINALLY got to participate in the @bumblebybigbang this year! Really excited to share these works, I had the extreme pleasure of getting to team up with @pugoata and @askjar to make something wonderful. Please go and enjoy the fic here, its dark, its moody, it's a dramatic one folks, bring tissues! This was a lot of fun, got to try some new things out with animation in different platforms including Unity, After Effects, Photoshop Animation, and Procreate.

Yes, when the original post is deleted from the server (not just the blog, but the Tumblr servers), there is no root post for notes to be added onto, and also no root post for time to be counted from, so it starts from zero. Most computer operating systems use Unix, which was launched in 1971 with t.he epoch date of midnight on January 1, 1970 as 1. Therefore zero is one second behind that date: December 31, 1969. Also, very unfortunately, this also means nobody except you and anyone you reblog it to will see this explanation, as you cannot open the notes to see comments when there are no notes.

honestly looking back on it i have no fucking sympathy for Jayce

he knowingly kept dangerous and undocumented equipment and items in his apartment and knew that no one would approve of his “magic is the cooliest” project but decided - based on his singular experience where a wizard did a good - that any notion of magic being dangerous in the wrong hands wasn’t worth listening to and pushed ahead anyway

he was warned, he was given example after example of the dangers of magic, and he refused to listen when he faced the consequences of his actions (which came very close to injuring his patrons’ daughter)

like, Piltover is a turd rolled in glitter, and he’s just an example of that - he acts like he’s on the bottom rung and doesn’t seem to conceptualise that anyone has it worse than him (even when Viktor is right there talking about how he’s had to claw his way up and still got stuck as an assistant - and Viktor honestly has far more sympathetic motives than Jayce does), and has created technology that is 100% going to be used to abuse and torment the downtrodden people that Piltover has shoved down into Zaun to keep up this “shiny clean city of progress” charade up; i mean just look at his apartment, loads of space, crap tons of stuff, the luxury to just leave food lying around for later

Jayce is a selfish idiot who thinks he knows better and utterly disregards any evidence to the contrary (and doesn’t even attempt to find evidence that may support him - if it hadn’t been for Vi and the others breaking into his place, he’d’ve probably killed himself messing around with those crystals), anyone with personal experiences with magic that refute his idea that magic may help people Just Doesn’t Get It

“Hextech will help people”, okay, how, genius? in what way specifically will the magic you’re messing with help people? do you know? or did you get any further than “magic helped me once therefore it’s cool”?

Jayce is a nice example of privilege.

He endangered himself, Caitlyn, and everyone close to his apartment, because he was simply fascinated with magic. Of course, he was naive when he assumed his hextech would only be used for saving people. Because he was never on the receiving end of Piltovers hatred towards the poor/Zaun, so he couldn’t imagine that his hextech might fall into the wrong hands.

He got away with a slap on the wrist. And even after breaking the one thing he was not allowed to do (go to the academy and continue his study), he was rewarded for it (judging by the ACT II Sneek peek).

Vi (and the other kids) stole out of necessity. Because they needed it to survive. And for them Act I ends with 1 dead dad, 2 dead friends, and 2 traumatized and separated sisters. And to top that all of it seems to be that Vi ended up in prison (as a child! like srsly! How old is she? 15? 16 at best?)
