Dany’s arc in Essos is that she conquers cities and says it’s for their own good because she spreads freedom and frees slaves, which theorically is good and moral, but really it’s all about her getting armies to conquer Westeros –  a.k.a. the thing she really wants – and not giving a damn about the people or the culture there, and how is that different from the U.S. destroying Middle Eastern countries and saying it’s for their own good because they’re spreading democracy, which is theorically a good, moral thing, but actually it’s all about getting oil in order to have money and power, a.k.a. the things they really want, and not giving a shit about the people or the culture there?

So this is unpopular but I’m insanely curious hence I’m using tumblr and not Twitter or Reddit lol. I’m not the biggest fan of Dany in the books and to the others who don’t like her either I wanna know why. This isn’t a hate post, I want to see if others share my opinions.
