How I feel about this character: Love her. Pure, innocent, perfect bby, my angel child, she deserved the world, if I could bring back one character from the dead it would be her (sorry to my mans Robb Stark and my mans Jaime Lannister but like… Shireen did nothing wrong and y’all were kinda dumbasses). 

All the people I ship romantically with this character: Rickon, maybe Bran before he got all weird. I’d be open to other ships for her, just never really thought about them. 

My non-romantic OTP for this character: Shireen and Ser Davos! Dadvos for the win. 

My unpopular opinion about this character: Uhhh? That I’m obsessed with her I guess? Most people seem to forget her. 

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: I wish she’d gotten a chance to meet Gendry. I love cute lil fanfics about them just being normal cousins. 

my OTP: Rickon/Shireen is probably still my fave on Shireen’s side at least. 

my cross over ship: Maybe Ryder Lynn from Glee. That boy would fawn all over her the way she’d deserve. 

a headcanon fact: In a modern AU Davos should be the one to give her away at her wedding - suck it, Stannis.

My Opinion on Certain Things

First of, the Red Wedding shouldn’t have happened. It’s wasteful and the only reason the author gave for it was that he wanted to subvert expectations. I spit on that reason. I spit on it thoroughly. Moreover, he says that he ‘views his characters as his children’. I spit on that too. If he really viewed his characters as his children, then he wouldn’t have killed off so many of them.

And finally, if he doesn’t want fanfiction, then he really shot himself in the foot right there. The reason most fans of his series write fanfiction is because they are unhappy with the way he wrote certain things or the fact that he killed off characters they liked. If he didn’t, fans would have no reasons to write fanfiction and there would be a lot less fanfiction about his series then there is now.

Come at me with torches and pitchforks for criticizing your golden author’s choices if you would like. Someone has to state the obvious, and I did. And I don’t regret any of it.
