Honestly I’ve always clung to my Hispanic heritage because it was something concrete. Only one grandparent, but the one with the most stake in the game. So today, on another episode of “I Was this old when I discovered something about my ambiguous past” my middle name is actually Hispanic, I just always pronounced it the Anglo Saxon way and never told anyone because I was embarrassed by it??? But apparently, while not all that common, it’s still readily recognized as a Hispanic name to those that are fluent in the culture???
