Hey! I've been seeing a LOT of alterhuman and otherkin content on this site, so I wanted to make a sideblog for just that stuff! You guys have made me question and realize a lot about myself, and now I'm gonna make it your problem 😤

Hey there, traveler,

Do you remember the Opportunity rover? The little guy they sent up to Mars during the exploration program? 2003 I think it was. Probably before most of our times. Stubborn little thing. It exceeded its life expectancy by 60 times before it died. I imagine, if it could think, it would feel a little proud of itself for what it did. It found proof of water. A sign that maybe, just maybe, there's a chance that somewhere out there, we aren't so alone. That's a nice thought.

Of course, it did die, sadly. All alone in that wide expanse of sky. It made it to this place, Perseverance Valley, which I find to be a very good name.

But it sent out a final message to the lab boys down at NASA before it died that's always stuck with me, haunted me, some might say.

"My battery is low, and it's getting dark."

That's something, huh? One little speck, all alone in a strange foreign world, and all it can do in its final hour is stand tall and announce its fate. Real poetic.

It never sang itself happy birthday like Curiosity, but every now and then, I like to pay it a little musical tribute.

So because I'm feeling a bit melancholy and I'm waiting for my own dust storm to pass, here's my own little broadcast (though it won't be my last).
