There is a quote from "The Office" which basically sums up this whole caption pretty quick: «I wish there was a way to know you're in the good old days before you've actually left them». I related to this after finishing the tv show, looking back at the first season and just seeing how every character had become so different and older, there was some kind of connection after 201 episodes. But now on my fifth and last year of high school, after spending every morning for five years with the same people, i can relate to that quote on a deeper level. This picture was taken one year ago, in Sicily, on a school trip that i will always remember as one of the best experiences of my life. We left pretty early and finally arriving to our hotel after five hours​ on a bus and a night on a ferry (with a few stops along the way) was a huge relief, even though, fortunately, we never had the time to rest. We'd wake up early, visit places, eat (everything from Cannoli Siciliani to a fish-based lunch right next to that lovely sprinkly sea), and visit some more places and eventually go out after our late and poor dinners at the hotel. We'd usually go every night to the same creperie, to make up for the poor dinner. There were indeed some downsides that week, just as there were some pretty rough times douring these five years, but coming back home to the same everyday life wasn't that fun. ...In some months this will all be over, all of the beautiful people i met and spent my life with these past years, through boring morning and nights out in Ortigia and Prague, will be somewhere else, getting on with their own lives, not thinking about math exercises or old incomprehensible poems... I don't think there's a way to be ready for this kind of changes. You may want to thank @doddleoddle for this long and pretentious caption. I got pretty sentimental and carried away by the memories flow and probably made a few grammar mistakes along the way but whatever. #liveforthestory (presso Ortigia)
