                IT WAS ARGUABLE that artoo’s affection for padmé had eclipsed that of which the droid had for its own master. not even master kenobi had been able to elicit information out of artpo like she had been able to do --------- countless times at that. at least if the droid had talked today, master anakin was too far away, off on a mission that he been forced to embark on sans artoo. rotating it’s dome, artoo turned its sensors towards padmé as she had finally abandoned the overlook she had been gazing from

                ARTOO HAD KNOWN LOSS throughout his many exchanges between masters. when rey had taken the droid into her ownership, it was reminded of that very sentiment. it also reminds the droid of how much it desires to watch over her.

                 binary whirls fill the air as the droid bumps it’s body against the side of her leg, softly but enough to garner her attention. 

         ❛  weee wooo. booooo boop!. ❜             you should get some rest, ya know.

                                He would need to get that fixed, is the first thing that Anakin thinks of when he hears a particular squeak come from down the corridor. Black robes settle with a sigh of fabric as he slows a fraction so that Artoo may fall into ( step ? ) next to him. He doesn’t mean to leave Artoo behind. Sometimes he gets into his own head and takes off at his own whim and requests Artoo to stay behind - but wherever Skywalker goes, the astro droid is not far behind. Chirps of vocalized binary reach the tall Jedi Knight and he tips his head at Artoo.

                       “But who would watch the ship?” Anakin replies, avoiding Artoo’s statement entirely. 

                SENSORS FLASH AND FLICKER as the droid speeds to it’s masters side, swerving it’s dome to turn it’s sensor towards the other. the avoidance in the conversation is duly noted but artoo has decided that it best go without chiding. HE HAD KNOWN HIM SINCE HE WAS A BOY --------- and master anakin’s mannerisms were something artoo had committed it’s memory disc long ago. he would tell the droid when he was ready to, and artoo, in turn, would be there. 

          ❛ beep beep booo woooo.  ❜          you say that like there’s a lot of ship              left to look after

r2 getting rekt - the trilogy

                TIME IS A LUXURY THEY DON’T HAVE but that doesn’t stop artoo from giving the jedi knight a hard time. it was a rarity that the great OBI WAN KENOBI had broken down and solicited help from faulty wired astro droid. the artoo unit decided that it was a moment that required to be documented and stored within it’s memory disk. for any special occasion that it would certainly before useful ammunition in. 

          ❛  ——— weeeee whirlll. bee booooooo.  ❜          i am not certain my systems are updated              enough for this task, master kenobi. might               want to find another droid.

                 IT WASN’T THAT artoo couldn’t handle being alone ; it was simply that the droid preferred to accompany it’s master. as it certainly was a better alternative then wheeling aimlessly around the hanger bay in the hopes that master anakin would conduct his tasks quickly. gliding over the polished floor,  his center leg producing a squeak each time he turned the corner as it was still in need of repairs, artoo speed towards the sighed of dark robes billowing through the corridor.
