hollanov hcs i have schrodinger’s opinion on
there are so many headcanons out there for hollanov which i both agree and disagree with so here is a word i just made up: schrodinger’s opinion - an opinion which only exists when it is being directly observed
- shane is a neat freak VS he hires people to clean because he is a hockey player
- ilya is a dom 100% of the time and loves it VS ilya is sometimes a pathetic whiny top
- shane walks ilya like a dog VS shane is an ilya enabler
- shane would wear lingerie VS wouldn’t because of sensory issues
- shane and ilya would have kids bc they want to break the cycles of their own childhoods VS shane and ilya don’t have kids and are the guncles because they want to break the cycles of their own childhoods
- shane has no concept of gay/queer culture and stays a total masc gay his whole life while ilya gets super into drag race and is friends with fashion gays VS shane starts to shyly find community and a little piece of belonging in queer culture when he starts to accept who he is
- shane fits in well to the locker room culture for the majority of his closeted life through sheer force of will & masking VS shane always feels like an outsider and never really fits in there for various reasons including his closeted nature and his pure hockey skill inspiring jealousy in the other players
- shane and ilya as lowkey exhibitionists VS shane and ilya who fiercely protect their sex life from others
- similar vein: shane and ilya as a loved-up couple within the centaur locker room and spaces who regularly engage in PDA VS shane and ilya who are always professional in front of everyone, sneaking a kiss here and there and occasionally holding hands
- shane and ilya are fated soulmates who end up together in every universe VS shane and ilya put work and effort into their relationship to become soulmates and none of it would be possible without them fighting for their love
- shane who never researches sex/kinks/fetishes and invents them out of his beautiful mind VS shane who creates a sex spreadsheet between him and ilya of all of the things they could try together
- shane who is a chirper, who will fight on the ice because it’s in his script as “what hockey players do” VS shane who never fights because he thinks the game should be about skill and technical ability not brute force
- ilya who doesn’t love hockey as much as he loves what it can do for him and later for giving him the opportunity to play with shane VS ilya who always loves hockey as much as shane does and it’s what connects him and shane in the first place as shane could only love someone as devoted to hockey as himself
- ilya who would retire a few years earlier than shane to be a stay at home dad and take their daughter to shane’s games with the centaurs VS ilya who would never retire while shane is still playing
- ilya who does drugs like coke in his partyboy life VS ilya who would never touch the stuff because of his brother and mother
