But Neil couldn’t help Jean. He didn’t see the text, he barely remembers what happened at the nest. He made Jeans life worse by disobeying Riko’s orders. Yet Jean still helped him. So killing Grayson was Neil protecting Jean. Neil couldn’t protect him from Riko, but this was the next best thing. Misplaced forever partners.
