CRIMINAL MINDS 2.21 — "Open Season"
Yes yes yes this scene thank you for the tag, heehehehe
It’s funny because this scene must be based on the memoir Special Agent by Candis DeLong. In it she describes being out looking at clothes at a department store on lunch break with another female agent and overhearing a conversation between a man and a woman in which he says he’s an FBI agent. They peer around some clothes racks thinking that they’re going to see one of their fellow agents trying to get a date, and when they don’t recognize the guy they go over and pretend to be interested in the big strong FBI agent themselves and ask to see his badge. The guy actually pulled out a fake badge, whereupon they said “Huh, that doesn’t look anything like ours…”, produced their own badges and arrested him for impersonating an FBI agent. (I remember this bit from a 25 year old book because I actually stole it myself for a fic)
Exquisite. Glorious. 10/10 thank you for sharing.
Official New Short Film this October | Breaking News
In a Licence Global article, Paul Gitter, the executive vice president, reveals Disney's licensing plans for 2026.
Licence Global's second question in the interview with Gitter asks, “Frozen” remains one of Disney's biggest franchises, and "Frozen 3" is on the horizon in 2027. How are you building excitement for the brand, from products to fan moments, leading up to the new film? "Frozen” remains one of Disney's biggest franchises, and "Frozen 3" is on the horizon in 2027. How are you building excitement for the brand, from products to fan moments, leading up to the new film?”
Paul Gitter answers, “Frozen” has proven to be a powerhouse brand for Disney Consumer Products and is expected to be one of our largest efforts ever with strong execution planned across the entire Disney ecosystem– from new in-park experiences like Disneyland Paris’ World of Frozen to new film and streaming content. Our strategy continues to serve core fans with new show-to-shelf products tied to short form content, as well as expand to new demographics and categories. With over 10 years of content and more on the way, fans of the franchise span generations – girls who experienced the release of the original “Frozen” film are now young adults, girls who watched “Frozen 2” are now tweens and teens and so on. While our core girl audience is growing up, their love for the story remains unchanged. Therefore, our strategy is beginning to look at brands that resonate with older audiences like PANDORA, allowing young women to express their fandom in subtle, more sophisticated ways. “Frozen” Fan Fest in October has become a strong annual event for our fans to celebrate their love for the story and characters, with new product launches and digital content. We’re excited to kick off the countdown to “Frozen 3” with a new short this October, ahead of our biggest ever cross-company movie marketing campaign in 2027. ”
Our so-thought unrealistic wishes have come true!! They were listening!! A new Frozen short is officially releasing this year in October! I love how Frozen fan fest in annual tradition and something Disney is using wisely. We all wanted a short but never thought we'd get one since we're running up close to Frozen 3 but it looks like that's the perfect time to release a short movie! And if it's to kick off the promotion era of Frozen 3, maybe this short will give us some insight on what Frozen 3 could be about!
Frozen 3 is much bigger than we thought if they're gonna go all out in the promotion and calling it now, their “biggest ever cross-company movie marketing campaign in 2027”!! I don't want to get hopes up to an unrealistic point but this is definitely building the anticipation!! I don't think we're ready for thiss!!
But what are the odds this supposed new "short film" will be any different from the previous two 2d short films released during Frozen Fan Fest 2024 and 2025? I.e. the cheapest possible way to say "look, her's a new short, aren't you happy?" Since this is so heavily focused on marketing products, I suspect we'll see some leaked doll designs again this spring (maybe they'll even re-use those "Summer in Arendelle" designs from last year) and we can expect another YouTube short in October.
I highly doubt this will be anything like Frozen Fever or OFA. Seems like they're just announcing some stuff for Frozen Fan Fest earlier this time.
But I'd like to be wrong! 😁
Good question but I don't think he meant it as YouTube content. He mentioned that there are short form content that stems from products like the 2d animated versions.
But I do see what you mean! I don't know what he does as his role or whether he's loved by Disney fans or not. But I like to hope a little. The only wait to prove it's a 3d film like the previous films, is if we get doll leaks. (I don't know if previous shorts had trailers - I don't remember how their marketing went).
But let's see!

I just had a complete meltdown because someone commented “Jessie is scared of the dark, and Buzz glows in the dark” on a Jessie and buzz edit, my period better be starting soon this shit is ridiculous.

One of the things I love about TS5 and Buzz and Jessie, is that even though Jessie has plenty of doubts (and tons of trauma/baggage) about the devotion of her current and past owners/kids.... not ONCE does she EVER doubt Buzz. That man has the devotion of a Jane Austen leading man. Jessie KNOWS that man LOVES HER! 😭
Jessie saw Buzz tryin to propose and she took the initiative to kiss him.
My favorite thing about the press tour videos that I've seen for Toy Story 5 is that Tom (Hanks) and Tim (Allen) are repeatedly like: this is Joan's movie!!! I'm watching a SiriusXM interview (link) with Hanks, Allen, Greta Lee, and Conan O’Brien. And Tom Hanks goes, "This movie belongs to Joan Cusack." (He says it around 27 minutes in).
It's just really nice. Because this is her movie. Love seeing them praise her. As they should.
Me, hugging Toy Story 1, 2, 3 and 5: you guys mean so much to me
Toy Story 4: but what about me 🥺?
Me: … I will think about it
Buzz having the Princess Diaries foot pop is so iconic and Chef's Kiss.
