So I generally try to stay away from fandom drama, but buddy, pal, Iām ready to fight.
First of all, IT IS NOT LUCY PRESTONāS JOB TO HOLD WYATTāS HAND THROUGH THIS SHIT. Itās Wyattās job to sort out his own feelings and make a damn decision.
All Lucy has heard for the past 2 seasons was how much Wyatt loves Jessica and how much he wants her back. And now he has her back, so of course she would step back. If Wyatt wanted to be with Lucy, he would have stepped away from Jessica and BEEN with Lucy. But he didnāt because he loves Jess (and put Jess on a pedestal) and wanted to be with his WIFE.
It was Wyattās choice to make, and he made it when he threw himself into his relationship with Jessica. He tried to keep his romance with Lucy alive - despite how it was hurting her - because he struggled with making a choice, but by continuously jumping into bed with Jessica, he made his choice again and again.
It is no way Lucyās job to fight for him, to convince Wyatt to be with her instead. And thatās a fucked up message to be sending out.
If anything, Wyatt being mad that Lucy didnāt fight for him is another tally in the āWyatt is a selfish prick that needs to grow upā column.
Jessica literally handed Wyatt the divorce papers and he DIDNT TAKE THEM. He made that decision himself. He wanted to persue that relationship with Jessica. He didnāt care about Lucy. He wanted what he wanted when he wanted it and he didnāt give a shit about anyone else.
