[ HAIR ] : as they kiss the receiver, sender tangles their fingers into receiver's hair.
[ WAIST ] : sender catches receiver around the waist right before they kiss them.
[ GRAB ] : impulsively, sender quickly crosses the room to where the receiver is standing, grabs them, and pulls them into a passionate kiss.
[ BRUSH ] : just before kissing them, sender tenderly reaches up and brushes a strand of hair away from receiver's face.
[ CUP ] : gently cupping the receiver's face in their hands, sender guides them into a tender kiss.
[ ARMS ] : sender holds receiver in their arms while they kiss them.
[ THUMB ] : sender gently runs their thumb across receiver's lips before leaning in to kiss them.
[ PULL ] : sender pulls the receiver close against them as they kiss them.
[ PIN ] : sender pins receiver against a wall and begins to kiss them.
[ STRADDLE ] : sender straddles receiver while in the process of kissing them.
[ TUG ] : sender hooks their fingers in receiver's belt loops, and tugs them in for a kiss.
[ GAZE ] : right before the kissing begins, sender gazes at receiver's lips, then back up at their eyes, waiting for them to make a move or give confirmation.
[ NECK ] : sender brings a hand up and rests it on the back of the receiver's neck, pulling them in for a kiss.
[ LAUGH ] : sender can't help laughing in the middle of the kiss.
[ POP ] : a la "the princess diaries", sender is so absorbed in the kiss, that their foot involuntarily lifts off the ground.
[ BREATHE ] : sender has to force themselves to stop kissing the receiver to take a break to breathe.
[ LIPSTICK ] : after the kiss ends, sender pulls away to reveal that the sender/receiver/both have lipstick marks on their face afterwards.
[ FOREHEAD ] : following the kiss, sender gently rests their forehead against the receiver's. basically a forehead touch but like. post kiss.
[ ANOTHER ] : following the first kiss, sender places another brief one on the receiver's mouth.
[ LEAVE ] : having just given the receiver a kiss of a lifetime, sender leaves the room, leaving the receiver to wrap their head around what just happened.

the kiss . you typically wait until the last second to believe the truth--because it would destroy you to believe it, and then find out it was a lie. you are someone who has never wanted to want, but has rarely been able to do anything else. the idea that you might have to break down your walls for the sake of someone else, someone who could easily decide they don't like what is on the other side, is harrowing. why let people get close enough to be rejected? you are enough for yourself. and you will tell yourself that every time you catch yourself staring at their mouth, smirking at their joke, finding a reason to flick their shoulder. until the kiss. that's when the flood of want, want, want bowls over you and you realize that you are torn between two ways of living. Oh, you think. because despite how complicated you have made it, the moment you kiss, somehow, things seem incredibly simple. they won't be once you start thinking again, but for now, for this moment, you live in the quiet peace of revelation. Oh.

allura isn’t quite sure how it happens . one second she’s listening to tiberius talk about his favorite part of his class as they’d , her mind drifting to a certain halfling every few minutes & the next she’s on her way to kima’s house , still in the blue dress & short heels she’d worn on her date , with one thing on her mind : to tell kima how she feels . tiberius is perfectly lovely , he really is & she can tell that he cares for her but their date had only proven what she’s known for weeks , maybe months . . . she loves kima . like she’s never loved anyone before & she has to tell her . now . tonight . or - that had been the plan until she’d found out that kima wasn’t home & had been sent on her way , dejected & playing on her crystal as she walked to her lonely home . she hears her before she sees her & when she looks up to find kima on her street she can’t help herself . it’s illogical ( & allura is rarely illogical ) but she runs towards kima anyway & doesn’t stop until she’s right in front of her , cheeks red from the exertion & eyes bright with more than a little hope . ❝ uh - hi - i just - i just went to your house & they said you weren’t home & i - well , that doesn’t matter . were you . . . looking for me ? ❞
