Ripped is a supernatural romance of sorts about found family. You play as a person in way over your head.
Demo: Ripped [08/28/23]
Word count: ~3,404
You’ve finally moved into your new apartment, in a new town, with a new job, and a new life. No one knows who you are or who you once were. A fresh start. A clean slate. A calm, normal life. At least, it would’ve been if the end of the world didn’t decide to loom on the horizon. The veil between your universe and another is being ripped apart, and it’s not accidental. Fate has played the kind role of dragging you into it, and you were never one to give up. So, now you and your new acquaintances, some intentional and others not, must save the world. Or die trying. Maybe you can try the normal life again after.
Oh, and the supernatural is real.
Mostly customizable character (name, gender, appearance, etc)
Romance one out of your three apocalypse-stopping companions.
Get haunted. Stay haunted.
Stop the apocalypse. You're in total control, no strings. Maybe.
Mat
[They/Them]
A tall, well-dressed bar owner, and your soon to be employer. With warm dark eyes and long dark hair, they look as if they could talk their way into, or out of, anything. They seem to have a gentle smile for everyone, and a job offer for any who asks. Even with their evidently deep pockets and a mysterious background, this majestic stranger seems to have taken an interest in you. Or maybe you’re just a pity hire.
Alexander “Axel”
[He/Him]
A short man you’ll often see sitting at the bar, long after closing, nursing a soda. He has a tendency to wear a cap over his straight bleached hair, and a jacket that’s too nice to be his own. He never seems to talk to other patrons, but his eyes are constantly watching. Most of your interactions with him start and end with his signature glare. If not at the bar, he's either off on one of his trips, smoking out back, or disappearing upstairs and into the owner’s supposed apartment.
Roman
[Gender Selectable]
Your friendly neighborhood spirit. or nuisance, that’s (accidentally?) become a part of your life. Regardless of whether you wanted them to or not. With an almost constantly shifting appearance, amnesia, and a knack for possessing technology, this spirit is thoroughly stuck to you. They won’t be leaving you anytime soon. At least, not by choice.
