Hey everyone it's been a while but we're still trying to pay off the $4000 loan that helped save the life of my cat, and now my moms work is doing some real shady garbage suspiciously close to a contract that would make her make $25 an hour (+retropay)- she's been suspended with no pay for something she did not do

I hate asking but until further notice I'm the only one bringing money home and it's getting really close to rent time. it's $750 a person

both of these codes go directly into my moms account. Once again, I hate begging, but until her work or union gets back to her, we have no other choice.

also since my last post ive been diagnosed with autism and adhd, been prescribed meds for the latter, and am doing so much better its genuinely ridiculous that i wasnt diagnosed sooner!! still struggling when my brain is unmedicated (ie. the 2 hours after i wake up and take meds and around 12 hours later when they wear off) but im a lot more capable and a lot less depressed during the day, which im absolutely loving!! like the first thing i did after starting meds was make a very over-engineered accounting spreadsheet so i could track all my spendings and plan out payments in advance, and then immediately moved so im living in my fav city and am physically closer to my friends!!

life aint perfect obvs, but its def a hell of a lot better!!

ONE dude drove the excavator to dig out the Ever Given and they haven’t paid his overtime yet for working five 21 hour days

So I know the Ever Given has wiggled out of the news cycle, but I learned something incredible on the radio today and verified it with a written source: there was one guy, Abdullah Abdul-Gawad, driving the excavator for up to 21 hours a day for five days.

He apparently disliked the memes, and per business insider, was driven by the memes and the jokes to prove he could dislodge it. 

“To him, it felt as if ‘everyone was just making fun of it,’ he said. ‘And that was what made me so determined,’ he continued. ‘I was like, you know, you’re making fun of me. So I’m absolutely going to prove that I can do this.’”

One dude moved the dirt for the Ever Given. Driven by spite and three hours of sleep a night, max. And while the lawsuits have started, he hasn’t been paid his overtime yet.

most of the animation studios had their ‘thing’ to make their animation stand out, disney had fluid motion linked with quality music, warner brothers had top notch dialogue with carefully crafted facial expressions, MGM had comedic timing down to the individual frame that no live action comedian could dream of achieving, terrytoons had the budget of a ham sandwitch and a fistfull of nickels fleischer studios however had authentic jazz and heavy toned subject matter, often crossing the line of what we think of as ‘cartoon violence’ into realistic

Cab Calloway, he was a legend performer and entertainer, although he’s listed as a jazz singer he did much more with his voice, his singing style and delivery was very unique. Cab (with his band) was the first black artist to sell over a million copies of a single record and he paved the way for many artists to come. Happy Black History Month.
