I had this shirt as a kid and also thought it was weird that an airship enemy was in a ground level and I was anxious that someone would call me out over it.

BUT ALSO: my mom ruined this shirt by running it through the wash with a sticker on it. it was a cool sticker I got at the dentist and after it went through the wash, there was a weird sticky circle on my cool ass mario shirt.

The iconic Rocky and Bullwinkle statue on the Sunset Strip. For decades this monument stood in front of Jay Ward Productions.

This statue remained long after the studio went out of business. It can be spotted in dozens of 1960s movies like Mondo Hollywood and Riot on Sunset Strip. The bathing suit motif was a parody of a model who was on a billboard across the street. The billboard eventually changed, but Bullwinkle never did. A one of a kind piece of Hollywood history.

Thinking about Baby Jane and its legacy and how it pisses me off how it seems like some filmmakers *cough cough zach cregger* and creatives and honestly just people in general get from it is "old woman scary" like no one of the major themes of the film is how society and systems (especially the show business system) fail older women and ultimately wind up driving them to do horrible things. Bette Davis fought for that makeup to show what the system had done to Baby Jane, a child star who was basically abandoned by Hollywood when she grew up

Not to mention how Hollywood at the time also did not learn its lesson. Like the success of Baby Jane should have revitalized Bette and Joan's careers (it would have if they were men most likely) but instead they continued to mostly be cast as "crazy old women" but without the empathy and depth of Baby Jane.
