Please be aware I'm quite bad at tagging things, there may be untagged mentions of many types of common triggers, including suicide, self harm, EDs, sexual assault. If something is graphic I try to put it under a readmore with info on the trigger, but please refrain from following if seeing discussion of those things may be harmful to your well-being.
I'm also a median system with a handful of parts.*
You can look under the cut if you would like to know more fun facts about me :)
Some stuff I like:
Cute animals :3 (birds my favorite)
Crochet (I really like making amigurumi)
Music, I listen to lots of stuff (and LOVE LISTENING TO NEW STUFF, recs are always welcome) but some of my longtime and/or current favorite artists are: Metric, Run the Jewels, Gary Clark Jr., Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Kendrick Lamar, Garbage, Jackie Venson, EARTHGANG. My favorite genres are indie pop/rock and hip-hop. In 2026 I want to listen to more R&B, jazz, and blues.
I loooove all of the Coolzone Media podcasts!
Video games! I generally like games that are forgiving with great stories. Normally I play things that have an easy mode, things that don't require good hand-eye coordination, or games that are low-stakes and relaxing. PLEASE tell me if there's a cool game you think I should play. I'm playing Fallout: New Vegas right now! I also love casual mobile games and I usually am playing at least one silly game on play pass.
Travel :D seeing new cities gets me tickled pink. My favorite city I've visited is probably either Seattle, Washington, USA or Boston, Massachusetts, USA. I want to visit lots of countries other than the US as well but it's not really in the budget until a couple years from now. Some cities I want to visit are Jakarta, Ho Chi Minh City, and Philadelphia!
I 💚 the Boston Celtics and enjoying hockey is my guilty pleasure
Spiral staircases
*Note on being plural:
Plurality is a framework I use to explain how my internal processes reflect on the outside world. I believe the term median system most closely aligns with my experience. There are a few important aspects of this that I talk about occasionally.
I understand all of my parts to be me.
My parts are distinct in my mind but in reality our actions and life are in unison.
There are 4 parts I am aware of, Nai (she/her), Codex (it/its), Naomi (she/it), and Henry (he/him). We are all Dolly (she/her) although you can use they/them if you want to talk about multiple parts.
The live-TV interpreter who said "Sag mal, wie lange wollt ihr bei dem Scheiß bleiben?!" has made a statement. I admire him hugely for not apologizing for what he said, or even technically retracting it, at any point in this statement. Instead, he takes the opportunity to make a jab at Trump's inability to put a reasonable sentence together:
I didn't think I'd have the energy to make a translation, but what the heck, I guess I will.
Background for the non-Germans: a German professional interpreter was live-interpreting the TV broadcast of the Trump inauguration when he suddenly broke off in the middle of his interpreting and said loudly, "Tell me, how long do we have to watch this shit?!"
Of course they immediately cut his mic after that, but it was too late :D
Anyway here's my rough translation of the article excerpt above:
Interpreter Frank Deja, who committed this faux pas, has now made a statement. "I could have sworn I'd muted myself. However, in the heat of the moment, it appears I pressed the wrong button. We interpreters have what's known as a 'cough cut' button on the interpreter console, which we can use to briefly mute ourselves. Then, whatever we say next doesn't get broadcasted – and obviously that sentence wasn't supposed to be broadcasted," he explained to n-tv.
His exclamation is not intended to be understood as a political statement. "No, that's not it at all. The political content is not the problem," says Deja, adding, "I often interpret for people whose politics I don't agree with. The problem with Trump was that he suddenly started free-associating or saying the same thing three times in a row. Following these incoherent mental leaps is quite a challenge for an interpreter." He explains: "When a speaker presents their thoughts in an organized way, the interpreter can more or less guess where each new sentence is going as soon as it's begun. You can surf that wave. But with Trump, this is impossible."
i also feel like the semicolon has sort of gone out of fashion for suicide attempt survivors but since I saw the girl at that festival this weekend with thigh scars like mine I was thinking maybe I shouldn't try to have mine covered. I've been wearing shorts lately that actually show mine and I don't care if people see them but noticing another adult with self harm scars is so rare for me and I felt such a kinship. Like yeah both of our lives sucked once but here we both are having an amazing time listening to music and being high. I briefly thought maybe it would be nice to get a semicolon next to the scars on one of my legs. But I think I might actually see a tattoo artist to see if there's a way they could make a piece that shows that they're scars but also makes them more beautiful and shows more hope for the future. I'm not sure what it'd be because of they were vertical you could do like flowers or something with the scars as stems but they're all horizontal
important reminder that most people you follow online are significantly lamer than you think they are including me. and if you feel insecure comparing yourself to someone online: DON'T. theyre probably also lame and weird. most people on the internet are
So Dex and Nai are like the Normal Ones I'd say in that their identities are rooted in The Past and are more complex/fully developed parts, while Mimi and Henry are almost caricatures of people because they developed for specific reasons. Mimi holds the "difficult" parts of our (joint) personality and allows everyone else to not have to deal with like 99% of autism meltdowns and stuff. Henry exists because it wasn't anyone's Job to predict how circumstances will impact us based on how past circumstances have impacted us (and also because no one else was particularly interested in delving into it). So because they have a purpose their entire self is mosty just that. Idk being median is kind of stupid like that. Half the time I'm like well I could just go back to not being plural and would anything change? But if i ignore that there's 4 different opinions happening all the time then they get loud as fuck
