Yesterday, driving home from my parents:

“That’s an ugly looking wasp outside my window.”

“…That’s an ugly looking wasp INSIDE my car!!”

*bravely smacks it with left shoe because thankfully I am stopped in traffic*

*wasp crawls a little after I move my shoe and falls, but I know he’s still alive*

*next ten minutes are stressful as I drive through traffic I can’t pull over easily in, remembering fun facts such as “Wasps are the ones that can sting over and over”. Also thinking “What if it stings my sleeping baby?! What if she’s allergic?!”

*Finally pulls over at Dollar General and opens the passenger door where it’s crawling on the ground. It crawls out of the car finally.*

*Slams door and continues home hoping that was the only one*

Good things from the last few days:

I’m at my parents because my husband is at youth camp with our church, and I don’t love sleeping at home without him. So I’ve been able to catch up with my parents and brothers.:)

I found a high chair at Goodwill today for $7.50!! And some cool pictures books.

My mom has made some really good dinners; it’s nice not having to figure put dinner with a baby.

it’s so special to me that so much of fan culture is textual analysis for the love of the game. like thank god there are people in my phone who are also thinking about this thing i love so much that they are writing transformative fiction as character studies and setting clips of the show to music with theme-relevant lyrics and writing long text posts analyzing every line of dialogue like!! yay!!!

I started reading The Chronicles Of Narnia (by The magician's nephew) and found the scene where they find the fat guinea pig very adorable. Hopefully the rest of the book stays nice and adorable…

Good things from today:

1. We were sitting on the porch as it got dark, and I asked my husband if he had seen any fireflies yet because it seems like it’s about time for them to be out (he hadn’t). Not five minutes later we saw several. I love when God does tiny things like that. 🤍🤍

2. Also saw a pretty sunset!

3. Baby girl slept in until 8:30, which is the latest she ever has! I was up with her 2:30 (stretches) and then she woke up at 3:30 for a bit, so not a full slept through night, but it felt so good not to be up at 6/6:30.

Would please appreciate prayers for a slightly concerning medical thing that has popped up in the last few days, that it would clear up and that I would have peace about getting it checked! It’s most likely nothing serious and related to having given birth 4 months ago, but it’s still not fun to deal with or worry about for a week until my appointment. :/

It cleared up today! I have an appointment scheduled in a few weeks, so I’ll wait to see if it comes back at all, but hopefully everything is good! Thank you for praying!

1. Baby girl laughing while I washed her hands. It’s so fun seeing someone experience the world for the first time and seeing the things they’re fascinated by.

2. Got pretty good sleep last night even though I still had to do tongue tie stretches at 4am.
