The Origin of Persevere
I've always loved origin stories. They've been a consistently great part about superhero culture for me. That one story of how they got their powers, or how they became known as their alias, has always intrigued me. That's why I wanted to share Persevere's origin story. That's why I brought my hero's story to life.
Tony grew up being bullied. Every single day of his life seemed to be the same without the hope of it getting any better. In an accident at the school, Tony is thrown into a coma for two years, where he wakes up to find that he has powers beyond his comprehension.
Upon being invited to join a small group of heroes, Tony makes it a personal goal to stand up for the weak and stop evil. Throughout his quest for success, he soon realizes that there are much bigger threats lurking in his future, one of which has become very personal, very quickly. In the transition of his dreams—and nightmares— to reality, he soon realizes that this isn't the life he had always hoped for, and his options are running thin.
Tony begins his own hero’s journey, where he struggles to decide between his good intentions or his evil temptations. Will he stick to the high road and find a hero’s solution, or will he fall down the lonely path of becoming a villain?
In this story of friendship, disaster, and dreams, a careful decision must be made to ensure his world doesn’t fall while on the brink of collapse.
