“‘Ah Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm! Nothing is too difficult for You,” Jeremiah 32:17NASB
Nothing is too difficult for the Lord God. In my youth, the doctor told us our son would be crippled and 85% mentally retarded. During birth, our son developed a pneumothorax condition, plus an enlarged heart. He couldn’t suck a bottle, and had an underdeveloped epiglottis. I prepared for the worst, and didn’t know how to hope for better. Through extraordinary events, Lou dedicated our son to God in prayer. BOOM, God turned our boy’s life totally around in one night. He’s now the father of four grown children, and a machinist.
Scared witless, sinner Debbie knelt in a hospital waiting area praying begging God to heal our daughter. Dehydrated, our daughter lay just down the hall in ICU, convulsing multiple times during the night. She’d suffered pneumonia several times with salmonella hidden underneath for over two years. Every time the diarrhea and vomiting would start, here came pneumonia. Doctors treated her for pneumonia, putting salmonella back to sleep, not killing it. God in His mercy brought us to the hospital through a literal time warp to save her life. Why? Because nothing is too difficult to God.
Feat after feat, miracle after miracle God has performed in our family and in my life. He’s bigger than huge and way above and beyond anything great or wonderful you can imagine.
In our text reference— Nebuchadnezzar was besieging Jerusalem, ready to overthrow the government. Judah’s King Zedekiah locked Jeremiah up in prison, for telling him ‘Jerusalem will be overthrown, when Nebuchadnezzar comes.’
God speaks to Jeremiah 32:6-16, ‘I’m sending your cousin to you. Buy the property he’s selling. Get the sale witnessed. Put the deed into a jar for protection. Have Baruch go bury them for you, until after I bring Judah out of captivity— back into Jerusalem again.
Most of our nation has felt like we’re in captivity for over a year. Several states are literally treating the citizens like criminals, removing all their freedoms, scaring them into accepting the imprisonment. Releasing prisoners to spread fear and prevent prison Coronavirus. (Insane) They’re saying ‘we’re protecting you.’ Then, why does it feel like they removed all citizens rights and jailed everyone. How did we lose the sovereignty to make choices over our lives?
Alex Azar Secretary of Health for the US said, ‘65000 suicides during 2020; alcohol consumption up hundreds of percentages; spousal abuses rose with alcohol consumption; eighty percent less cancers detected, ninety percent less child abuse reported.’ He also said ‘Coronavirus fear had consumed all other health and mental concerns. The pandemic would end up killing more people not connected with the virus than from the virus itself.’ Fear breeds insanity.
God speaks loud and clear— “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh; is anything too difficult for Me?” Jeremiah 32:27NASB.
STOP FEAR —DON’T BE AFRAID.
We’ll once again buy properties.
We’ll once again hug each other.
We’ll once again laugh together.
We’ll once again have money and restaurants to go enjoy a meal together.
Yes, the world is coming to an end— it’s been coming to an end since the moment Jesus was crucified.
Yes, end time scriptures will be fulfilled, just not yet.
Yes, God will yet rise up and reveal His power and might, see Isaiah 33:10.
We have two choices. Have faith believing in God’s love for us. Or surrender to fear. Remember, fear breeds insanity. This old gal is going to pray, believe, rejoice, buy and sell, trust and obey, enjoy life, dispatch angels to accomplish answers to major prayers, and on and on. And you— what will you do? It’s your choice. You choose.
PRAYER: Holy God is anything too hard for You. Help us conquer fear and develop faith, in Jesus’ name I pray.
