Mixture

“And he did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, just as his father Amaziah had done. Nevertheless, the high places were not taken away; the people continued sacrificing and burning incense there.”2Kings 15:3-4BSB

Several places throughout 2Kings our text iss reiterated. The negligence in this was all of the offerings were to be made in the manner and place prescribed by the LORD God. Nothing else was acceptable to Him. Before the temple was built by Solomon, there were altars erected in many places for sacrifice and worshiping Yahweh. From Solomon forward until Jesus this was considered a sinful mixture to sacrifice anywhere other than the temple. 

Then came Christ. He was sacrificed just outside of the temple mount on the cross of Golgotha. It is thought the hill was referenced— place of the skull— because this was supposedly where David had buried the head of Goliath. In Christ’s death we find the punishment and payment for every sin and mixture of sin that had been or would be committed from Adam to the end of time.

We people always have a mixture of sin in our lives on this side of heaven. White-knuckling every part of us into being perfectly sinless is a total impossibility. That would entail keeping thoughts pure and holy; guarding our eyes 100% of the time from seeing impurities; using our words to only speak life and nothing we see through our eyes, or hear with our ears; constantly walking in love towards all people 24/7; never leaving out a small portion of truth to cause a slight misrepresentation about something. The Lord told Cain, Genesis 4:7NLT “You will be accepted if you do what is right. But if you refuse to do what is right, then watch out! Sin is crouching at the door, eager to control you. But you must subdue it and be its master.” Since the beginning sin has mastered man, not vice versa.

“Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself serve the law of God with my mind, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin.” Romans 7:24-25ESV This awesome grace of God given to us by the sacrifice of Christ Jesus makes us perfected before God, free from sin. By His grace we’re enabled to change from the inside out, losing all desire for our sinful ways. We also become immediately conscious of sin, to bring us to immediate repentance. 

Mixture goes out of our life by being filled and refilled with the grace of Christ Jesus. It’s no longer a sad, defeating story but a completely joyous exchange of love. Where I used to struggle to love Father God, love now abounds surpassing my imagination. 

In the Old Testament there was no grace, yet God extended mercy over and over again overlooking their mixture. He knew humanity's weaknesses.

Have you experienced His grace? Are you still trying to accomplish being mixture free on your own? Choose please to quit trying to work for salvation and freely receive His grace. It’s your choice. You choose.

LET’S PRAY: Thank You Papa God for Your mercies which cover us through Your grace day by day. Thank You that “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 8:1ESV)  Glory to God, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

A Small Wrong Choice

“The LORD saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time.” Genesis 6:5NIV

During the time of Noah we find our text. Two verses earlier God restricted man’s life to 120 years because of man’s choice to continually sin.

The reason behind the name for this devotional series came from a talk with a drug addict. I was told, ‘I didn’t start to come to the place of losing everything, family, name, dreams— I simply made a small wrong choice, which led to another. It snowballed from there. Here I am unable to get free.’

Choices control the outcome of everything. Acts 5:1-10 Ananias and his wife owned property, which they sold. They decided to say they were generous by giving ‘all’ to the needy. Meanwhile they conspired to lie about how much money they received to Holy Spirit. Their lie ended in death for both of them. A chance was given to tell the truth, but they didn’t.

King Saul chose to quit waiting on Prophet Samuel to sacrifice the sheep to God, see 1Samuel 13. A seemingly small choice ended up removing Holy Spirit from his life entirely. Chosen and anointed by God to be king of Israel ended up with becoming demon-possessed. His final and worst blunder was calling upon a witch to bring Samuel up from death. He never repented,only made excuses. Saul ended up dead without God.

King David made three major bad choices. He raped Bathsheba, then killed her husband to keep from the rape being found out. Also, he counted the people. The greatest difference between Saul and David was repentance. Whenever the prophet came to David, he admitted his sin, confessed it, and changed his ways. Still those choices reaped horrible crops. All his family through the next few generations had sexual issues; his one son killed another son; that son also tried to murder David.

Yahweh gave Saul, David, even Ananias and his wife opportunities to choose to change, repent, tell the truth. Only one chose to repent-reform their sinful lifestyles.

Today we still have seemingly small, but actually major choices. Prophets are declaring God wants to reset and bless the USA. Many Believers are speaking against these prophecies— speaking against the man God chose to lead our nation at this moment. Daniel 2:21NIV “He controls the course of world events; He removes kings and sets up other kings. …”

Biden was even chosen by God to show us how awful things could become. Now Trump has been chosen and given mandates to implement for the church. Believers are going against God repeating the lying news, and gossiping against the President saying awful things about the one God has chosen for these four years. They’re also not praying God’s prophecies into fruition.

We have choices. Accept the one God has given us for President this time period. Pray for all our leaders— see 1Timothy 2:1-2. Pray for God’s plans to come to pass as He is declaring through the prophets. Shut up. Keep our opinions and the news off our lips. Don’t give our words to fuel satan’s world problems. Or we can go against my advice and see what consequences we have to pay for our arrogance and pride in thinking we know a better way than God’s way. It’s your choice. You choose.

LET’S PRAY: LORD God help us to learn to do things Your way, quit running our mouths, and help birth what You want in this world. May we all repent in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

Burden Bearer

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28NIV

Raised in a holiness church, I wanted nothing to do with the hypocritical lifestyle of 90% of every holiness person I’d ever met. In about every way imaginable I rebelled against anything resembling religion. Until…

All my life, I’d said the only way I would ever come to Jesus for salvation was if everything in my life was wonderful. No beggar’s story for my salvation story. Unfortunately, my story was ugly, horrible, unhappy, rough and I was broken, badly broken.

Then one day, an answer to my mom’s fasting and prayer arrived— a zany, fun-loving, French Canadian waltzed into my world and swept me straight into love with a whirlwind romance. His construction job took him to a new place every three months. When it came time for him to move, we married in order for me to go with him.

Lou was my crutch. His lifestyle became mine. Learning a new language for both of us, having three children— moving every few months meant job relationships were after work friends, very important for society, almost like family.

Our eldest daughter started school, forcing us to settle down. We chose a small town in southern Indiana. Some co-workers settled down with us. New friends were partiers just like us. Seven couples were our pals. Everything we did together— none of which involved church.

One day everything changed. My lifestyle wasn’t heaven bound. Every burden I’d carried and laughed off, suddenly became too heavy to bear, when the doctor added uterine cancer. Music— Laughter — Parties— Beer cans everywhere stopped as I contemplated death. It was then I decided that I desperately needed Jesus in my life. (Who, by the way, had been patiently waiting for me to come to Him, so He could carry my burdens.)

Suddenly Jesus was exciting to me. He loved me as seriously awful as I was. When He came into my heart, things began to change dramatically from the inside out. It was impossible for me to get enough of Bible reading, prayer, and worship.

One thing, we never can estimate —this side of heaven— is how many will be brought into the Kingdom because of one person’s conversion. I know many lives were changed because I and then Lou gave our hearts to Jesus.

Our besties gave their hearts to Jesus very soon after us. Her siblings and mother have come into God’s kingdom since.

One couple’s daughter is still currently serving on the mission field. Only God knows how many lives have been brought to Christ because of their family.

Most but not everyone in our friends group made it to heaven, but not all of them are deceased yet either. Not everyone will make it to heaven. Before I gave my burdens to Jesus, I didn’t care if anyone made it to heaven. After tasting and seeing how great Jesus is, (see Psalm 34:8) I wanted everyone to meet Jesus the Burden Bearer for themselves.

Holy Spirit is wanting us to be encouraged in Jesus right now. He wants us to look back at those who’ve come to Christ because of our witnessing. Then He wants us to renew our efforts. Go out a bring the lost into the Kingdom. Time is getting short. Only what’s done for Christ will last into eternity. It’s your choice. You choose.

LET’S PRAY: LORD God, thank You for being our burden Bearer. Thank You for helping us to bring in the lost sheep. We couldn’t do it without Your help. Please help us to win more and more for You, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

New Things Never Seen

“…From now on I will tell you of new things, of hidden things unknown to you.” Isaiah 48:6NIV “…I show you specified new things from this time forth, even hidden things [kept in reserve] which you have not known.” Verse 6AMPC “…I will tell you about new things never seen before, hidden things, well-guarded secrets you know nothing about.” Verse 6TPT

Depending upon what era we’re living in, this verse holds vastly different meanings. Long before Jesus, Isaiah 7:14NIV “Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a Son, and will call Him Immanuel.” For certain satan scratched his head wondering how, who, when, and where this would happen. It was a “well guarded secret.”

Probably very smugly, satan coordinated everyone and everything to crucify Jesus. Again, he’d run into a trap of “hidden things.” It just revealed that he was much less intelligent than his Creator, consistently being one-upped all down through the ages. Now the prophets are once again declaring— “I will tell you about new things never seen before, hidden things, well-guarded secrets you know nothing about.”

We can speculate for a thousand years and never come up with what God means. Our 100% brain quit working when Adam fell into sin in the Garden of Eden. Nor are we the brightest bulbs on the light strand. But we do have something going for us— we can pray.

My cousin had a very simple hysterectomy in 2017. She said before even entering the hospital that she thought she would die from the surgery. I prayed for her healing. Things deteriorated daily. Begging God to heal her, I heard Holy Spirit say to me— ‘pray for My Kingdom to come; for My will to be done.’ ‘That’s not my will, I argued. I want to keep her alive,’ I cried. Yet He was adamant that I pray as the Lord’s prayer was truly written— imperative command— COME kingdom of God— BE DONE WILL of God. When she passed onto heaven, I knew it was God’s will.

Better than anything else we can pray— LORD God bring forth Your hidden things. We command COME Your kingdom; Be DONE Your will. May every plan made by evil ones, spells, and incantations go back where they were sent from and wreak havoc there. As we’re praying “…Lord foils the plans of the nations; He thwarts the purposes of the peoples. But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of His heart through all generations” Psalm 33:10-11NIV.

The prophets are declaring a glory river is coming. Get your Bibles out and study what that can look like. Pray that your loved ones will be found faithful in this. Praise and pray, or not. It’s your choice. You choose.

LET’S PRAY: El Shaddai may we prepare in prayer and praise for what You are about to do, things that no man nor being know. We await You. Come Kingdom of God! Be done will of God, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

Difference Between Believing And Knowing

“And the woman said to Elijah, By this I know that you are a man of God and that the word of the Lord in your mouth is truth.” 1Kings 17;24AMPC

Read the story of Elijah and the widow of Zarephath, 1Kings 17:9-24. Yahweh sent Elijah to her for provision. When he asked her for bread and water, she replied her provision was sufficient for one last meal— then starvation for her and her son.

Elijah convinced her, his God would provide for her IF she provided for him first. There’s a difference between ‘believing’ and ‘knowing/‘ She believed him and made Elijah’s bread first. —Believe — meaning: ‘to think, have as an opinion; to accept.’ Many times we ‘believe’ God has given us a promise. We accept and act on the belief— but do we know?

In our text, the widow said— “this I know that you are a man of God.” When Holy Spirit drew me to meditate on this I realized. Do we KNOW — experiential, intimate knowledge— His promises will come to pass? Knowing is the difference between faith and failure to receive.

Jen Tringale, an evangelist, missionary, and prophetess spoke at The Glory River Conference in Tim Sheets’ Oasis Church May 30, 2026. Here’s a portion of her sermon. — Holy Spirit called her to go to Grenada, prepare a meal for thousands, preach the gospel and prepare a work for Him there. The meal was to be rotisserie chicken with the side dishes prepared by catering from elsewhere.

After purchasing every piece of chicken in the nation, they went to the airstrip, where US soldiers had landed in Ronald Reagan’s time. There, in 90* late evening heat, they prayed for the next day.

Just as they finished, a box truck arrived. She asked what he wanted. He told her he’d brought the chicken she’d ordered. Jen asked him to return in the morning, as he off-loaded thousands of pounds of chicken into the heat.

What to do? A man drove in as they wondered what to do. He encouraged them to put the chicken in his wooden pallate shed under lock to prevent theft. Jen accepted his generosity knowing she was in God’s will. Yahweh wanted her to do the meal. They laid hands on the chicken, praying it would supernaturally remain frozen.

The next morning, when the man unlocked his hanger, the chicken was still frozen.— that’s miraculous! (Chicken thaws quickly in 90* and higher temperatures, then rots, becoming poisonous.) Cooks took the chicken to the rotisseries, while Jen was handling the service preparations.

Head cook, a team member, kept coming to Jen saying, ‘I need you please.’ She kept putting him off. Finally, he returned with great urgency. ‘The chickens had been on the rotisseries cooking for an hour but still were frozen.’

Asking God for help, she heard in her spirit —‘stretch forth your hands and say I release you from your frozen state.’ Jen released the chickens, which immediately began cooking.

News travels fast. People came, some because of the frozen chickens— a story of supernatural power from God. Thousands have been saved and a mighty work for the kingdom has been started. Behind it all, Jen didn’t just believe— she KNEW she had heard from God and was doing His will.

We must spend enough time with God that we don’t believe whatever is ‘the right thing’ to do. Lay before Him. Seek His face until we KNOW it’s the way our King wants it.

Every failure comes from the difference between believing and knowing we’re doing what God wants. In this day and age we must KNOW. Believing is too risky. Will you stay just believing or pray until you KNOW? It’s your choice. You choose.

LET’S PRAY: LORD God help us to quit listening to our heads and pray until we KNOW what is Your will we pray in the name of Jesus Christ.

The Box

“So repent (change your mind and purpose); turn around and return [to God], that your sins may be erased (blotted out, wiped clean), that times of refreshing (of recovering from the effects of heat, of reviving with fresh air) may come from the presence of the Lord;” Acts 3:19AMPC

What is the backstory of our text? Jewish people had listened to their Pharisee leaders, agreeing with the crucifixion of Jesus. A totally crippled beggar man, whom everyone recognized, was jumping and leaping. How could this be? By and through the name of their Messiah— Jesus, whom they crucified —this miracle happened. Their God, Whom they couldn’t keep in a box, had overcome this man’s infirmity.

We all sit comfortably in our little pews-chairs in churches singing about the all powerful Yahweh, while nailing the lid down on the box we’re trying to keep Him in. News flash! His power has been released in our nation. As church people— the ecclesia — it’s time to repent for us to have the “times of refreshing” fall on us.

Nationally things changed on May 17, 2026. Called for by the President, who read to us 2Chronicles 7:14ESV “if My people who are called by My name humble themselves, and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” We were rededicated back to our root covenants with the Lord by third in command of this nation. Over the past several years many have been repenting with prayers and fasting. Rededication day, prayers of repentance were made by several thousand Believers meeting on the National Mall. My Texas pastor and his wife were there.

National prayer leader Dutch Sheets, prophet Hank Kunnemen met May 29-31 in Tim Sheets church in Middletown Ohio. An atmosphere of God’s Presence was released in power, which I’ll liken to the Charismatic Renewal. People laid for at least an hour on their faces or kneeling before God, seeking His face— not His hands. One person testified, she'd spent the entire time on God’s lap resting her head on His shoulder. Powerful time. I know that I left refreshed.

As the body of Christ, we’ve forgotten— He is supernatural (more on the tomorrow) and all powerful. If I couldn’t figure out how Yahweh will do something, too often I’ve written it off as impossible. Except for these two promises made to me by God in November 2020: Isaiah 33:10GNT “The LORD says to the nations, "Now I will act. I will show how powerful I am.” Psalm 33:10-11NIV “The LORD foils the plans of the nations; He thwarts the purposes of the peoples. But the plans of the LORD stand firm forever, the purposes of His heart through all generations.”

Then again March of 2025, in response to my constantly asking Yahweh the same question— ‘When is NOW? Is that earth time or Your time? He gave me the following promise: Ezekiel 12:22-23, 25NIV “Son of man, what is this proverb you have in the land of Israel: ‘The days go by and every vision comes to nothing’? Say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am going to put an end to this proverb, and they will no longer quote it…’ Say to them, ‘The days are near when every vision will be fulfilled. …But I the LORD will speak what I will, and it shall be fulfilled without delay. For in your days, you rebellious people, I will fulfill whatever I say, declares the Sovereign LORD.’”

Refreshing is coming! Already started? Are you ready? If not—get ready. Fill up your oil lamps. Trim your wicks,( Matthew 25). Or be left out. It’s Your choice. You choose.

Unimaginable But True

“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.” John 3:15-17NIV

I listened to a story recently which thrilled me. During the 1960’s, a man was assigned to work in a ward full of totally insane people at an insane asylum. With more than forty people in this ward, every form of insanity was manifested. Some played with their own excrement. Others rocked back and forth at different speeds. Meanwhile still others stared blankly at a wall or some yelled for no apparent reason. This man began praying, ‘Lord help me to know how to help these people today.’ In response the thought came into his head to quietly sing, ‘Jesus loves me, this I know. For the Bible tells me so. Little ones to Him belong. They are weak but He is strong. Yes, Jesus loves me. Yes, Jesus loves me Yes, Jesus loves me, the Bibles tells me so.’

Day after day the man came to work with the same assignment from Holy Spirit. His entire shift he sang as he cleaned up messes, and cared for the patients. After a few weeks, as he was singing, he heard another voice in the room begin to sing with him. Within the month everyone in the room was singing all day long— ‘Yes, Jesus loves me.’ As they sang, their minds began to return to them. Once considered beyond help, they each one was released back into society totally normal and healed. Why? Because the truth sank into their spirit person, then into their hearts, and finally their minds.

Jesus didn’t come into the world to condemn people to hell. He came to be the sacrifice pure enough to atone for every sin ever to occur from Adam to the end of time. Through Jesus was the greatest exchange ever known to mankind. Yahweh’s sinless Son, the Lamb slaughtered in place of every sinful man and woman ever born. —“God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.” 2 Corinthians 5:21NIV. —“…the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14ESV —“Yet to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God—” John 1:12NIV. —“This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!” 2Corinthians 5:17NLT

This love story of Elohim with humans is mind boggling. When I think of depraved, evil, worthless people, my mind runs to human traffickers and pedophiles. Even a murder might think there was a reason, or a robber a need, even a liar can feel justified in their lie. But there is no excuse for pedophiles or traffickers— AND YET, Jesus loves them too. He died for them the same as for us. The sacrifice paid was enough for even the most vile person to ever breathe— His blood for their sins. Unimaginable but true.

Where are you? Have you accepted this great exchange and became a child of God? It’s your choice. You choose.

LET’S PRAY: Papa God, it boggles my mind to think of how great your love is. You love even people like George Soros, and Jeffery Epstein paying for their sins. Thank You for this great exchange. Draw hearts to You holy LORD, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

Believe It Like It’s Written

“There is more than enough room in My Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with Me where I am.” John 14:2-3NLT

Jesus made us a promise that stands until He returns. With all of the carrying on about ‘no rapture’ — ‘rapture,’ ‘It’s not Jews possessing Israel — Jews are possessing Israel’ it seems hard to count on anything for sure.

I read my Bible differently than many people. ‘The Bible is all symbolic,’ I’m told. ‘You can’t take the Bible as literal,’ they tell me. Well let me make myself very clear — I believe it like it’s written. Where Jesus says He’s coming to get me— I believe it 1000%. The same goes for verses like Numbers 23:19NIV “God is not human, that He should lie, not a human being, that He should change His mind. Does He speak and then not act? Does He promise and not fulfill?”

Where the Bible says “For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,” 1Thessalonians 5:9ESV — I believe it totally. When the wrath is poured out on the wicked people in Revelation 6-16, I won’t be here. He’s coming to take me and all those waiting on Him to HIs mansion in the sky.

Many times I’ve told Papa God, ‘You know how You made me, and this mercy gift I carry would be pleading with You to stop Your judgments. You’re going to have to get me out of here before then.’

Yes, I also believe the church is the “one” in 2Thessalonians 2:7NIV “For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way.” That’s us folks, we’re holding back total darkness.

Back to the place Jesus is preparing for us— I believe it will be made-to-order to suit each person’s heart’s desires. For the one always dreaming of owning a log cabin, it’ll be the most beautiful log cabin imaginable. I’m going out on a limb, but I believe we’ll have transportation through thought to any place we want to go in heaven or in the galaxies for that matter. Most awesome of all, we will have instant face to face, up close and personal access to Papa God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit. Could anything be better?

This is not our home. Don’t get too settled in. We’re leaving soon. Or you can stay for the tribulation and wrath if you refuse Jesus. It’s your choice. You choose.

LET’S PRAY: LORD God thank You for planning for us to be with You. I pray LORD that You will deal in the hearts and minds of our friends and loved one, convicting lives of their need for You. We don’t want to leave anyone behind, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

Playing The Same Guessing Game

“But understand this: If the head of the house had known what time of the night the thief was coming, he would have been on the alert and would not have allowed his house to be broken into.” Matthew 24:43AMP

Recently someone challenged my viewpoint on the ‘Rapture,’ and all of the end-times events. In an effort to satisfy myself about my viewpoint, I bought a book called, ‘Dispensationalism Before Darby,’ by William C Watson. Normally this type of book wouldn’t be something I would read— Archaic from the 1400-1600’s with today’s explanation. Let me tell you, it takes some deciphering to comprehend what’s written.

Candice Owens and Tucker Carlson supposedly ‘know’ that the Jews in Israel aren’t true blood Jews. They have such-and-such information proving they’re right. Others declare the Jews in Israel are DNA Israeli. They cite the scripture Isaiah 66:8NIV “…Can a country be born in a day or a nation be brought forth in a moment?…” Then the fight is on between the two camps.

The more I’ve read this book on Dispensationalism the more I’ve come to the conclusion— we’re still playing the same guessing game that has been played since Christ’s ascension into heaven—‘when is Jesus coming.’. Jesus wasn’t kidding, when He said— “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.” Matthew 24:36ESV. Although back then many tried to pinpoint the time to a year, such as 1655. From Jesus’ ascension forward in time, man and satan have been trying to figure that great day out.

Growing up in church, special preachers brought graphs of the end times explaining just how it was all going to happen (to scare everyone to the altar.) They knew because they’d studied the scriptures. According to them, I would never grow up to have a family. Currently I have one great-great-grandchild with a whole bunch in between. How wrong were they?

Hal Lindsey wrote ‘The Late Great Planet Earth,’ which was an end-time Bible for many Believers. Jack Van Impe had a TV program aligning news events with the timeline for the end-times, and the return of Jesus Christ. Some said 2000 would be the year— had to be the year.

Guess what— we’re still here! It’s my belief that we are closer Hello— 78 years have passed since Israel was born in a day, it has to be closer. Technology can now show simultaneously around the planet the killing of those two prophets, Revelation 11— their return to life and translation to heaven. This has never been possible before. Plus the two prophets’ prophecy is a big end-time event.

For everyone who believes in Jesus my advice is— BE PREPARED! Jesus told the story of the ten virgins, Matthew 25:1-13 concluding with V13ESV “…‘Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour.” Everyday must be lived in readiness. Speculating about the time is the rebellious child’s way of living with the thought process of—‘I can get by with this;’ ‘there’s still time to repent of _:’ ‘it doesn’t matter because He won’t come for another hundred years. So, what if you died in a wreck. That’s still meeting Him. Be ready.

Just like the homeowner didn’t know when the thief was coming, we don’t know when He’s coming— just that He is coming. For you who’ve never asked Jesus to be your LORD and Savior— there may not be time left for you to procrastinate on the greatest decision you can ever make. Who knows if you’ll live long enough to make the choice later. Be ready. Be prepared. Or not. It’s your choice. You choose.

LET’S PRAY: LORD God Elohim whenever You send Jesus to come and whisk away us, help Your church to ready herself now. Please help us to live like He’s coming in fifteen minutes even if it’s fifty years, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

Against The Current

“Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable Your servants to speak Your word with great boldness. Stretch out Your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of Your holy servant Jesus.” Acts 4:29-30NIV

Lou worked many jobs in Michigan, one near a ‘salmon run’ river. The salmon fought their way upstream on that river annually. Jumping rapids and fighting current, they arrived at their nesting area where they were born. Here they laid their eggs. Next year those eggs would’ve hatched. Their spawn would’ve gone downstream. Those spawn would grow to be the salmon returning to lay their eggs the next year.

Often life feels like the fight those salmon have to go through to nest. As Christians, we are going totally against the current of popular opinion, even opinions of many other churches. The ‘left’ yells for Christians to have toleration, while they’re totally intolerant of Christians. We’re snubbed and scorned, even called ‘Christian Nationalists,’ if we’re pro this nation.

Like never before, division in the church is astounding. Not just in denominational lines but in fundamental beliefs. Some have simply walked away from the faith of Jesus Christ, embracing other religions as a part of their beliefs, i.e. Chrislam and Hindu practices. Jesus said in John 14:6KJV “…I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.” There’s no such thing as —Jesus plus!

Paul warned us: Galatians 1:8KJV “…though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.” Everyone is susceptible to this. I even have a family member who has fallen for another gospel.

While we’re alive, we’ve got work to do. We must lay seeds of God’s Word in the hearts of men. Jesus commissioned us for this work: Matthew 28:18-20KJV “…All power is given unto Me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them… Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you…”

I have a friend who’s been spending his first anniversary out on a Florida beach with his wife. There on the beach they felt led to minister to some people. In return for their boldness to witness several people have been saved, many others have been healed. God is manifesting because of their faithfulness to share His goodness with others. He’s even saying, witnessing is easy as people are hungry to receive anything from the Lord. They are out working for the Kingdom laying up—“Anyone who builds on that foundation may use a variety of materials—gold, silver, jewels, wood, hay, or straw. But on the judgment day, fire will reveal what kind of work each builder has done. The fire will show if a person’s work has any value.” 1Corinthians 3:12-13NLT

Are we afraid of nothing? No one knows whether there are real rapids of difficulty out witnessing and working for the Lord, or if it’s easy because the hunger for God is so great —unless they’re out working for the Lord. Our work will never be done here on earth. God will help us, if we pray like the apostles did for “boldness” with “signs and wonders” to accompany us. God has one billions of souls He desires for us to reach and teach the truth.

When we climb that last rapid to reach heaven, I want to have built something lasting on His foundation. Don’t you? It’s your choice. You choose.

LET’S PRAY: LORD God help us to become bold witnesses for Your Kingdom, for what Jesus did for us all. Give us boldness with signs and wonders, we pray in the name of Jesus Christ.

The Remnant

“If my people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14KJV

Recently, President Trump read the entire seventh chapter of 2Chronicles in front of the camera. Then he asked people to pray for our nation. ‘God, is our only hope.’ was Trump’s declaration. Lastly, he stated that we dedicate our nation back to God on May 17, 2026.

A remnant of Christians have been in serious prayer for this nation for the last twenty years. Is the remnant enough? When Christians don’t pray there are consequences.

Let me share a couple of things from history. The Russian Tsar Ivan the Terrible was so cruel, it is said the Christians refused to pray for him. From 1550 through 1584 his carnage was horribly brutal and ruthless. Had the Christians prayed for him and their nation would God have heard their cries and intervened? Going back even further: the ten tribes of Israel left Rehoboam the son of Solomon to govern themselves. (A classic church split.) They turned their backs on God as well setting up idols, (2Kings 15:18) rather than worshipping Elohim. Verse 19 shows Pul king of Assyria entering into the ten tribes’ land. He was the most brutal of warriors. After capturing the northern ten tribes he took them off for disbursement throughout the lands he controlled, (2Kings 17:5-7). These tribes were then internationally mixed with other nations to the point of losing their heritage.

A church, which doesn’t call on the name of the Lord as their only hope, doesn’t survive well. As the church goes, so goes the nation. We get what we pray for— pray for nothing and reap evil. Look at the sinful condition of the church today. For certain, we’ve got what we didn’t pray for. Yet even today there is a praying remnant.

Prayer changes things! My cousin was a praying man. He bathed his children in prayer. One day he stopped me at the convenience store. ‘I want to tell you what God did for me,’ he said. Then he proceeded to tell me about how his younger son was a few minutes late for work. This son was always on time; parking at the same place outside the pentagon. Being late saved his life on 9/11 as the plane came into the pentagon exactly where he parked at the time he normally parked. Prayer prevented evil meant for his son that morning.

What do you think would happen if we, the entire church, repented for abortion, promiscuity, homosexuality, transgenderism, murder, rape, hatred, racial prejudices, bigotry, apathy, indecency, abuse of power and trafficked, abused children? These prayers have been going up through the remnant.. Amazingly, the children are being found right now in unprecedented numbers. All glory to God. But what if we ALL repented?

Wake up church! May 17 Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson reminded the Lord of the covenants made with Him since we first set out for this land of the United States. Then he asked for forgiveness for breaking the covenants and rededicated this nation to the Lord Jesus Christ. With God we win. Without Him, I shudder to think of the consequences! Will you humble yourself and repent for the sins you’re aware of? Will you call down heaven to come and heal our land? This isn’t a Republican or Democrat problem— it’s a national problem.

If you don’t join in the repentance and rededication, please don’t complain about the end result. It’s your choice. You choose.

LET’S PRAY: LORD of Hosts help us please as a nation to change, coming back into covenant with You. Please rid our land of evil and bless us with Your power to make this nation one nation under God again, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

Being Perfected

“By which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the Divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.” 2Peter 1:5-8NKJV

When I was a young girl, Mom taught me how to bake cakes from ‘scratch’. Betty Crocker mixes didn’t exist. Everything was done according to the strict steps of the recipe. Measure the ingredients incorrectly —the texture and taste will be off. Omitting the baking soda or baking powder meant a flat cake coming out of the oven. Some of mother’s older recipes needed to be measured with her older measuring cups. Those cups measured about 5% less than our newer measuring cups. Every step of the process was the ‘art of precision.’ Every cake depended on the ‘baker’ getting and following instructions correctly.

Peter was telling his readers precisely what the grace of God in salvation had purchased for them. He knew they wouldn’t acquire these changes of God’s recreative process immediately. No, Peter was encouraging them to cooperate with Holy Spirit’s working inside of all our spirits, allowing Him to shine through their lives.

Partaking of El Shaddai’s Divine nature meant becoming virtuous (having moral excellence) living inside of us and coming out into the open through our life of freedom lived in grace. “God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.” 2Corinthians 5:21NIV.

Over the last forty years, I’ve watched many big name preacher’s fall, because they believed living virtuously was up to them. Human self-control and virtue can never attain righteousness in our living. These are only attainable because of God residing inside of us through grace.

None of the ingredients to Peter’s recipe for a successful Christian life, were character traits a person could ‘white knuckle’ into existence. These are life changes effected by time in God’s Word, seeking God’s Holy Spirit for constant companionship, knee-time—prayer and walking out life constantly realizing we are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.

It doesn’t mean we are perfected. No! We are BEING PERFECTED. Moment by moment, with each circumstance, or failure, we return to Christ Jesus. We pick up where we left off. Our portion of grace and forgiveness, strength and hope hasn’t diminished. The Word will wash us clean. Ephesians 5:26KJV “That He might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,” Holy Spirit will strengthen us. He will bring God’s recipe to pass in our lives, if we will persevere.

Of course the alternative is to fall or fail; neglect our spirits, and God’s Words. That cheap Sunday show at church will leave us like the poorly made cake, tasting and looking strange and flat. But why? Grace makes us righteous. It’s your choice. You choose.

LET’S PRAY: LORD God for most of my life I didn’t understand the grace You blessed us with. Thank You for grace that allows us to be free from sin and live in Your righteousness. Help, please, those who don’t understand to see this great freedom, in the name of Jesus Christ.

Quit Believing

“I tell you that He will bring about justice for them speedily. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?” Luke 18:8NASB1977

There seems to be a time of great testing for Believers in Christ upon the earth. Several of the ladies in my Bible Study were talking over lunch. One lady said, ‘I’ve been believing God for _’s salvation for 22 years.’ Another has ‘been waiting for healing for thirty years.’ Consensus around the table was each one of us had been waiting for many years about at least one request. What’s the hold up? Not enough faith?

For many years, secretly in my heart, I thought I just simply didn’t have faith anymore because God hasn’t healed me. Hebrews 11:6NIV “…without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.”

Recently those thoughts have changed. Why? How? Because I’m still praying, still asking, still hoping, still seeing myself well. If I had simply quit praying, asking, hoping, it would mean that I’ve quit believing. “…hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently”

Unfortunately too many Believers have given up believing. The picture of this and depression is: Proverbs 13:12NKJV “Hope deferred makes the heart sick…” This can be fatal spiritually and physically if it is left untreated with love, Bible study, journalling, knowing how important we are to God and praise.

In 1994, I was on the bottom of the barrel spiritually. Life had handed me several mountains on several different fronts. It seemed like Yahweh had abandoned me. My anger imploded and I began spiraling out of control. Bless the LORD, He didn’t let go of me.

Several things came out of this time. Foremost, after much introspection, I came to the same conclusion as Peter, when he said, “…Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life” John 6:68NIV. Secondly, I realized I can’t tell God what to do, He’s God not me. (Every time I feel like I’m headed for depression it’s because I’m trying to tell God what to do and He’s not complying.) Like I know right what’s right? Not! haha.

Another factor is my praise had stopped, as I surveyed my life with disappointment. Psalm 22:3NLT “Yet you are holy, enthroned on the praises of…” whomever is praising Him. Depression and praise cannot abide together. There will always be one without the other because they’re not co-habitable.

The secret of staying in faith is praising. Why? “…Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10NIV. We have no strength to fight the works of satan on our own. We have the weapons of our warfare, see Ephesians 6:10-18, and 2Corinthians 10:3-5. Yet praise brings Holy Spirit into our realm with joy. Do you have joy, faith, praise? Surround yourself with thankfulness, praise will join you, and joy will give you overpowering strength. Or not. It’s your choice. You choose.

LET’S PRAY: Papa God we worship you. You are holy and good. Please help us to stay steady in this storm, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

Foot In Mouth Disease

“Keep thy tongue from evil, And thy lips from speaking guile.” Psalm 34:13ASV

I questioned the word “guile” in our text. Almost all the other Bible translations use the word ‘deceit’ in its place. Google AI defines “guile” as— ‘deceit, cunning, craftiness, duplicity, treachery and manipulation, It involves using deceptive methods to get what one wants at another’s expense.’

Now I want to reiterate that this sin doesn’t cost us our salvation, peace perhaps but not salvation. This is a disease I call: ‘Foot In Mouth Disease.’ Very problematic is the tongue in conversation. The Bible has much to say on this subject. Psalm 19:14NIV “May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.” In contrast: Psalm 52:2-4NIV “You who practice deceit, your tongue plots destruction; it is like a sharpened razor. You love evil rather than good, falsehood rather than speaking the truth.  You love every harmful word, you deceitful tongue!” James 3:6NKJV “…the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell.” James 3:10NIV “Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be.”

Discussing a family member’s problem can fall into the area of the tongue speaking evil. A cursing upon someone can be the result of negative speech over their life. Truthfully, I’ve been guilty of this too often even though it was spoken as a ‘prayer request.’ Instead I’m learning to ask, ‘I need prayer for the blessing of _ and upon so-and-so.’

Solomon says— Proverbs 10:19NLT “Too much talk leads to sin. Be sensible and keep your mouth shut.” Proverbs 18:20-21AMP “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it and indulge it will eat its fruit and bear the consequences of their words.”

How are your words tasting? Are they filled with negative speech? Your sinful opinion? Guile? Love? Hope? Lifting up others? The ‘Foot In Mouth Disease,’ better known as the spoken word, has caused wars, disharmony, broken families, divorce, church break-ups, and the list goes on ad-nauseam. Is that what we want to accomplish from what we say? If not, then we must keep our “tongues from evil.” It’s your choice. You choose.

LET’S PRAY: Father God forgive us for every wrong spoken or written word capable of being used against another or ourselves by satan. Please put a watch guard on our tongue to see what we’re about to say before the word is spoken or written, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

Free From Personal Passions

“[It is He] Who has qualified us [making us to be fit and worthy and sufficient] as ministers and dispensers of a new covenant [of salvation through Christ], not [ministers] of the letter (of legally written code) but of the Spirit; for the code [of the Law] kills, but the [Holy] Spirit makes alive.” 2Corinthians 3:6AMPC

King David was called by God, “a man after His own heart” 1Samuel 13:14NIV. Throughout the Psalms David called on God for help: begged for deliverance from his enemies: spoke of his disdain for the wicked and sinful people along with their doings.

In Psalm 119:106AMPC David avowed his love for God’s Law for the umpteenth time, “I have sworn [an oath] and have confirmed it, that I will keep Your righteous ordinances [hearing, receiving, loving, and obeying them].” His calling on Yahweh for direction in fighting his battles was laudable.

Yet, there was an area where King David fell very weak— he had a lusting sex problem. He married eight wives, one of which he raped before marriage, then killed her husband so he could have her. Read the entire story in 2Samuel 11-12. Later, Psalm 51 is a written plea to God for forgiveness for his sins. With an almost New Testament knowledge of God’s heart, David understood that there was more mercy and grace in Yahweh’s heart than a desire to punish.

The letter of the Law was intended to promote failure. No human ever to live could ever keep the totality of the Law. These Israelites proudly told God, ‘We’ve got this. Give us the Laws, we can keep them,’ see Exodus 19:8. His Laws cover everything to such a degree that only praising God and breathing aren’t considered some form of sin. David had the concept that he had to have God’s help for everything. It was his form of grace.

In the sermon on the mount, Jesus said, “Do not think that I came to do away with or undo the Law [of Moses] or the [writings of the] Prophets; I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For I assure you and most solemnly say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke [of the pen] will pass from the Law until all things [which it foreshadows] are accomplished.” Matthew 5:17-18AMP. On the cross, in the beating, the bruises, tore flesh, every ridicule, mental and physical torture paid in full for every sin covered by the Law once and for all. It’s called grace.

When “Jesus said, "It is finished.” John 19:30BSB, every sin from Adam in the Garden of Eden, until the end of time was paid for in full. His sacrifice was enough to satisfy God’s price for sin. From that moment on every person who recognizes the price He paid, asking Him to be the Lord of His life are covered by grace, see Ephesians 2:8-9.

Grace doesn’t kill like the Law. We’re forgiven before our mistakes without punishment. Instead of calling down curses upon ourselves, we have Holy Spirit’s help to live from love because of His Presence within us. When we live from love, there’s no desire for purposeful sin. We’re free from personal passions, as they take second place to the desire to live pleasing to the One Who gave His life for us. You see grace isn’t a license to sin, but to love Yahweh more than ourselves.

Where are you living? Under the Law? Under grace? It’s your choice. You choose.

LET’S PRAY: Sovereign God Your plan of grace is perfect. You know we could never be without sin on our own. Thank You for making the way for us. Please help us to understand and live in grace to its fullness, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

No More Darkness

“And there will no longer be night; they have no need for lamplight or sunlight, because the Lord God will illumine them; and they will reign [as kings] forever and ever.” Revelation 22:5AMP

One of the things I look forward to in heaven is— no more night.

Mom said that when I was a toddler I wanted to stay up late and wake up late, she didn’t realize I saw a monster under my bed. I’ve found that as women age, nights are times of waking periods, two, three or four hours long.

Night holds terrors for many people. Sounds in the dark can bring terror from scary movies or thrillers people have watched. Dreams often bring the reoccurring horrors of past trauma.

King David spoke often of fitful nights— Psalm 22:2NIV “My God, I cry out by day, but You do not answer, by night, but I find no rest.” Psalm 55:17ESV “Evening and morning and at noon I utter my complaint and moan, and He hears my voice.”

At night all of the drama of life often rises to the surface, problems, fights, business problems, those things which can’t seem to be solved and worries all come to the forefront of the mind. There were a couple periods in my life where I never slept more than four hours because I was under extreme stress. It was in these periods I learned from King David the secret to peace. Psalm 63:6NLT “I lie awake thinking of You, meditating on You through the night.” Meditating on Jesus and all He had already done for me— knowing He would do it again.

While we’re alive on planet earth there will be ongoing problems. Jesus promised us the answers to those problems in His power— “I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.]”

More importantly heaven is the promise of no night seasons; no troubles; no darkness in any form. He will be our ongoing light. This thrills my soul to the point of shouting. Can you imagine such a time? We’ve become so accustomed to the trials, trouble, tribulations that our hope wears thin. Especially during these days we’re now living in. All the craziness occurring on all of the seven mountains of society.

Even in all of these happenings around us, in all of the darkness everywhere we can count on God’s Words being true. We can count on the day of no more darkness. Will you trust Him for this? It’s your choice. You choose.

LET’S PRAY: LORD God thank You for Your promises of no more darkness in our lives. Help us, please, to learn to trust You more and more in these hard last days I pray, in the name of Jesus Christ.

Eternity Minded

“Open my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of Your law. I am a stranger and a temporary resident on the earth; hide not Your commandments from me.” Psalm 119:18-19AMPC

My parents were an active part of the early 1900’s. Hence I learned through songs about heaven, a subject no longer taught much in churches. Heaven was frequently on their minds through songs like— Albert Brumley’s song— “This world is not my home, I'm just a passing through My treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blue; The angels beckon me from heaven's open door, And “I Can't Feel At Home In This World Anymore.”

Or— “I Gotta Home In Gloryland’ that outshines the sun,… Do Lord, oh do Lord, oh do remember me,”

Even— Ira Stanphill’s —  ‘I'm satisfied with just a cottage below A little silver and a little gold But in that city where the ransomed will shine I want a gold one that's silver lined … I've got a ‘Mansion Just Over The Hilltop’ In that bright land where we'll never grow old.’

Jacob knew His home was temporary, see Genesis 47:9. The King David prayed in 1Chronicles 29:15NIV “We are foreigners and strangers in Your sight, as were all our ancestors. Our days on earth are like a shadow, without hope.”

Hebrews writer explained this in Hebrews 11:13NIV “All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance, admitting that they were foreigners and strangers on earth.” Is all that is coming to us here on earth?

Questions came to me as I was reading the text scripture this morning— Why am I so concerned about my house and my finances with an earthly focus, rather than being eternity minded? At the most I’ve got fifteen more years to live here on earth, if I live as long as my parents. I, and everyone reading this, have no guarantee that we’ll be alive tomorrow. Any number of things could take us into the next life, momentarily. Having the latest, greatest car, gadget, or home won’t count for anything at that moment. As the saying goes— ‘no one’s ever seen a hearse pulling a person’s prized possessions behind it to the gravesite.’ Or like the young widow of a wealthy old man who promised to leave all his money in his casket with him, left a check instead.

Another question— Where are my treasures being stored up? Jesus said— “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. ” Matthew 6:21ESV.

Last question: How can I lay up treasures in Heaven? Your church’s building fund, missionary outreaches, supporting orphanages, foster-parenting, giving time and finances in disaster relief, feeding and helping the homeless population are a few ways of laying up treasures in heaven.

Being greedy is another option, but it doesn’t support any good outcome. Are you sure you want to go that route? It’s your choice. You choose.

LET’S PRAY: Almighty God this life on earth is meaningless without You as the center. Please help us to become more eternity minded instead of earthly focused in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.
