Things that we at the vet clinic do not want/care to hear:

“Can’t I just pick up some antibiotics?”

“40??? For a  hamster?”

“Yeah you told us to finish the entire antibiotics treatment, but we didn’t think she needed it anymore. She was doing much better.”

“But my breeder said-”

“No, in 16 years we haven’t been to the vet. He’s always been healthy. But now he’s throwing up, his teeth are horrible, he refuses to eat and lost too much weight and he’s been limping for months. We want him put down.”

“But the internet says…”

“I don’t know why she’s being so difficult. She’s really sweet at home!.”

“Oh dear save yourself the trouble, there’s no need to explain this. I’ve had dogs for ten years now, I’m practically a vet myself!”

“No there’s no need for painkillers. She isn’t in pain because she’s not whining/mewling/hissing, she just doesn’t want to stand on her leg." 

Friday, five minutes before closing. ’‘Our cat hasn’t eaten in 6 days, we want to come now. ”

So I did a thing today. After 2 years of literally blood, sweat, and tears I did it. Plus maintained my 3.8 GPA. Too pumped for today!
