My name's Iole, I'm a genderqueer aro?ace storyteller interested in fantasy and horror and whatever occurs when the lines between them are blurred beyond recognition. I’m here to improve on and share my stories as I work on them, including a comic, a passion project prospective novel, and something that teeters into both.
I’d love to be more active and engaged so if anyone could be so kind as to reblog this to help me get around I’d be happy to follow and see what you’ve got to share as well!
If you want to find me elsewhere I also try to engage with the writing community on bluesky fairly often, you can find me there as IoleAllia.bsky.social
My current WIPs are;
~Trufulla~
Do you like dungeons and dragons-like fantasy? Are you in search of protagonists in different shapes and sizes with varying gender and sexualities, such as an aroace agender main character? do you like your fighters soft and friendly and your healers sardonic and jaded? Do you appreciate plague horror that couldn’t be further from the seemingly never ending reality we’ve found ourselves in– or do you just enjoy the intrigue of an adventuring party traveling after research that will lead them to the best kept secret in all the land?
If you answer yes to any of the above I think I have a wonderful comic for you, welcome to Trufulla!
~Cry Little Sister~
From the fever dreams of someone fixated on the theme song from lost boys;
A spooky little town with a spooky little church and a number of mysterious disappearances that turn into a murder investigation when the missing are found dead and drained of blood. There’s something very odd indeed going on in Murnau Gap, particularly in the Blaksala Chapel with it’s oddly private congregation.
Enter the Sorensons, father and son freshly arrived after a death in the family. Arne grieves his older sister and goes through the motions of life in this town as the dream it appears to be, and the longer he’s here the more aware he becomes of the nightmare it is.
If it’s actually a nightmare that is. Even in a place like this what kind of person could believe in vampires?
And, not so much a wip as a lot of writing exercises in a trenchcoat--
~Immortal Coil~
Sometimes you want grand, epic battles, good versus evil, light versus darkness, be all end all battle royalse. And sometimes the way life works is you just get slimed while monster hunting and wind up late to class because you have to stop in your apartment to change.
Immortal Coil is a more modern fantasy to represent that, with a grand ensemble cast including everything from an asexual siren to a gay angel to a transmasc witch. Predominantly slice of life and monster of the week.
