So there's this plastic turtle we have outside our school that tells cars to slow down. My kids have always asked me why I don't have a husband, and I got tired of telling them because I didn't want one, so I pointed to him and said, "That dude. That's my husband."

This has been a running joke for two years now. All the kids know the plastic turtle outside the school is my husband. He doesn't have a name, just Miss Cat's husband.

Today was really windy, and the turtle dude fell over. I was taking a kid out to his mom, and he saw it on the ground and went, "Oh look, your husband died."

So I said, "Oh darn. Looks like I'm single again."

And without skipping a beat, he goes, "I'll be your husband."

Mom is standing there trying not to laugh as I got down on my knees, took the kid's hands in mine, and said, "Thanks for the offer, bud, but no thank you. We'll just pick that guy up so he can start being my husband again."

So the kid runs over, picks the turtle up, and goes "Good morning, husband! You're not dead anymore. Good job."

To start, if the switch happens in front of someone, it’ll register as some kind of swap Quirk, no matter how much All Might tries to explain that he and Yagi are one and the same. Even Tsukauchi, who has a lie detecting Quirk, has trouble grasping the concept.

Because Yagi was the one who showed the injury he’d gotten from All For One, Izuku assumes that Yagi is the real Pro Hero after all, and the one going around as All Might is only serving as the face of the “All Might Duo” to preserve Yagi’s privacy. And that actually, All Might is Yagi’s secretary-slash-sidekick.

Seeing Izuku being just as starry-eyed around Yagi as he does around All Might feels surreal. The Two All Mights Theory also became more cemented in Izuku’s mind as he compares their heroing styles.

Todoroki Shouto saunters in, projector and chalkboards at the ready, turns to Izuku and says, “You are the love child of two All Mights.”

Izuku answers, “Oh my god! You believe in the Two All Mights Theory too?!”

Shouto presents these as evidence: (1) All Might’s parenting style is to spoil Izuku rotten with hero merchandise and HeroCon tickets, as well words of encouragement. He disciplines Izuku by assigning him community service. (2) Yagi’s parenting style is to spend quality time with Izuku, and likes to listen to him and hear him ramble. Yagi disciplines Izuku by talking to him. These different set of actions and reactions prove that there are Two DadMights.

Izuku is always hoping that the two All Mights would attend together at the same time to his important school events. He was slightly crestfallen that Yagi was the only one who’d watched his Sportsfest matches, but really appreciated it when Buff All Might turned up in the end to give him a hug. He learns to accept that the swap Quirk would make it so that the two could never exist in the same place at the same time, but loves that they would make an alternating appearance for him when he needed the support.

Post-Kamino, Izuku keeps asking Yagi which hospital is All Might in. Yagi had to sit Izuku down and tell him that All Might was Yagi all along…again. It still did not compute.

Alternatively, Yagi could just tell Izuku that All Might died, but he becomes alive sometimes. Izuku starts cooking up the ‘All Might’s Secretly A Cat and He Actually Has 9 Lives’ theory. Yagi gave up.

AFO has many fans willing to ignore while little siblings in his fics are so ride-or-die for their older siblings because his absolute niche is Hero Corruption. Master all category of the Fall From Grace.

Uncannily good at describing how realistic it would be for a hero to snap and to cause a lot of damages with their quirks and he must be one hell of a hero fan because he knows so many details about the heroes he’s writing about! Details no one should have access to.

But if you’re one of his readers, you have to suspend your disbelief when it comes to both the siblings interactions (the guy must be an only child) and the dialogues (okay, villains are hammy, but no one drops so many monologues in middle of a fight).

Saw yet another take of someone saying Azula can’t have abused Zuko because both of them are mutual victims of Ozai’s abuse, because there’s not enough of a power imbalance for abuse to be possible thanks to them being siblings who are so close in age, and because he doesn’t act afraid of her therefore she can’t have abused him.

First of all, yes, they are both victims of Ozai’s abuse, and I don’t know why this is such a difficult concept for this fandom to grasp, but being a victim of abuse and being an abuser oneself are not mutually exclusive concepts. It’s called a cycle for a reason. It’s pretty heavily implied in the show that Ozai was abused by his own father; does that make him any less of an abuser? Trying to turn this into a binary is ridiculous.

Secondly, abusers can’t abuse peers who are close in age without some sort of preexisting power imbalance (which as we all know is why abusive marriages don’t exist)? I’m sorry, just… what? Not gonna lie, this argument makes no sense to me, because not only does it ignore the most well-known type of abusive relationships, it also ignores the fact that power imbalances can be created. This is why one of the first things many abusers do is isolate their victims. Throughout the majority of their relationship, Azula had the edge over Zuko in multiple different ways, from being the better firebender to being a skilled manipulator (which Zuko most assuredly was not). Not to mention, Azula being the golden child in the eyes of the parent who held all the power would have created a very real discrepancy regarding who was allowed to get away with what. No, this does NOT mean that Azula was any less a victim of Ozai’s abuse than Zuko was, and I am NOT saying that she wasn’t abused herself or that her own history of abuse is unworthy of sympathy… but it does mean that she had Ozai’s full blessing to treat her brother however she wanted, a privilege that Zuko did not share.

The final point just comes down to the tired old notion that Zuko doesn’t always act like a good abuse victim, therefore he couldn’t really have been abused. In addition to conveniently ignoring many of the interactions between them when they were kids (in which Zuko tried to avoid playing with her and was clearly terrified when she taunted him about his impending demise at the hands of his own father), it also ignores the fact that Zuko was always on guard around her, didn’t feel like he could believe anything she said, and never let his defenses down. Just because he wasn’t cowering in terror every time they interacted, the very obvious subtext that he did not feel safe with her gets completely ignored, and I wish people would stop pretending that Zuko’s constant defensiveness and lashing out at people who are trying to help him isn’t just as much a part of his history of abuse as him crying on the floor and begging for mercy.
