Crushes can hurt like hell sometimes. As a girl who doesn’t tend to find herself having to deal with the often gut-wrenching pain of having a crush, when I do find myself in this situation it ends up being even more painful. It is honestly gross sometimes.

The other day I went to the cinema by myself for the first time and it was this action that prompted me to think about spending time by yourself and how important it is. This alone time shouldn't be seen as sad but instead therapeutic because you are doing things solely that you want to rather than compromising for anyone else. Take a day to treat yourself and have fun! Also, The Hateful Eight was awesome.

I love tall people. Not you pathetic 6 foot people but the real giants, 6"5 and above. They make tall people like me feel rather small and dainty which is something I hardly ever experience. So, thank you tall people, you're pretty awesome.

Cities

Night time can be scary, especially on your own, in a city but it also has a new beauty that you never see the in day; the water that in the day was just a puddle, seems to glisten in a new and magical way. The fluorescent lights look daunting yet exciting. Not knowing where the night will take you definitely gives you an intoxicating love of the city and the prospects it could bring in the night ahead.

Last summer I had one of the best experiences of my life and in the cold of winter I'm finding myself getting nostalgic of the warm days strolling the streets of all the beautiful places we visited. I hope this year brings more travelling and unforgettable experiences.

I love how passionate some people get when they’re speaking about something they love. Their eyes go brighter and they speak quicker, even sometimes use their hands to display their enthusiasm. I would let a person talk about something they love for hours just because it makes me happy to see someone get so enthralled about what they are talking about they almost forget you exist, but not in a bad way. They want you to feel the same emotions they feel and to get just as excited as they are. From dancing, to rugby, fishing or even their mum- I’ll listen to anything, because listening to them speak about something they truly love makes me realise they want me to feel the same feelings they do, and that is honestly special.

The year I find myself

Seen as I have two tumblrs already some may see this third as excessive or unnecessary, but to those neigh sayers I say carry on reading. It is a new year, you may have realised this already, and I am determined to make this year my best so far and fill it with beautiful people and memories. I wanted to make this tumblr to record the hopefully lovely pictures and words from this year. I am not much of a photographer or writer but I’m hoping this platform will push me to record the good times to remember for years to come. I’m determined to make this my character progression year and turn it into my best year yet.
