Sander Dislyte my beloved... Could you do a little something where reader is first introduced to his secret pet cat? Maybe we find the cat on our own and Sander has to explain about the random cat in his office? Or steer it another direction if you prefer!

I’m ngl yall, dislyte has been stewing in the back of my head + I got alexa’s meta form and nyles and the designs are so good (but I wont lie getting them was a bit tedious...)
Your hearing had improved ever since your divine powers had manifested. And if you focused enough, you could even hear someone's thoughts, and thus, be able to counter many sorts of attacks meant for you.
This, of course, made many members of the Shadow Decree wary of you and your intentions. Some had believed that if you had it your way, you could have easily taken control of the organization for your own whims and purpose. Did you really give off that sort of vibe?
Oh well, you didn't need the people who believed in such rumors or spread them around you anyway. You were unpleasantly surprised at how quickly your own colleagues would like to gossip so openly.
By now you were used to it. You rose up in ranks thanks to your loyalty and skill, not because of some misguided belief that you were pulling the strings behind the scenes.
The sky had begun to change from the late sun to a dusky sunset when you hear it. It's faint, so faint that even you must strain just slightly to hear it. Then you hear it again, so you carefully stand from the makeshift chair you've made out of a bucket, and slowly but steadily inch closer to the sound.
When you find the source, you cannot help but tilt your head to the side with a bit of confusion. It was a cat, while you looked at it perplexed, the feline simply licked one of its front paws all unbothered.
"Now where have you come from, little one?" You can't help but ask, one of your hands slowly reaches out, tentative in its movement. The cat sniffs at your fingers, before making its silent judgement and allowing you to scratched behind its ears. You can't help but smile at the action, as you speak once more, "I suppose this is a first, you haven't judged me."
The cat being a cat simply licks its other front paw. It rather relishes in the attention with how it pushes its soft head into your palm some more as if silently saying: Come on, less talking more head scratches.
You indulge the tiny thing, smiling as it begins to purr. That is when you hear the door leading onto the ceiling open as footsteps move hurriedly.
"Where could he be?" A familiar voice sounds rather impatient, and if you were to hazard a guess, even a little worried. The cat's eyes flicker in recognition but the orange-furred animal does not leave the head scratches and pats for anything.
You see Sander come into view and for a moment there is a pause. You, sitting on the roof while petting what you can only assume to be his cat, said cat, happily purring at the attention.
"Is he yours?" You ask, surprised that the cat begins to paw at your legs, before crawling and then curling into a fluffy ball on your lap.
Sander's eyes flicker to the cat, then to your face, before your senior within the Shadow Decree nods. "I was... searching for him, as he seems to have escaped my office when I stepped out for the afternoon."
You nod in understanding. As not everyone within the organization was exactly morally upstanding and would have probably let the cat wander deep into the city if allowed.
"He's friendly," You chirp.
"Only to some," Comes Sander's reply as he joins you, sitting on the bucket you had claimed previously as a makeshift chair. You can't help but smile at that.
You do not realize how much time has passed, until the sunset has now become a starry sky. The city lights from below seemingly so far away despite their proximity. The cat still hadn't moved from its position on your lap.
Carefully, you pick up the cat, as you deposit him back into his owner's waiting arms. Sander adjusts his hold with practiced ease, making sure the cat is comfortable first and foremost.
"I would not be against you watching him again," Sander says before you can make your exit. "You could have allowed him to wander, but you did not."
You shrug, "I don't think I would have been alright with such a little guy getting lost."
Sander nods, but you can tell his eyes have a more appreciative look to them. "You have my thanks."
The cat yawns, before settling in his arms again, as you put your hands inside of your pockets.
"Have a good evening, Mr. Sander."
For a moment, you think that you see just the barest hint of a smile from the man as one of his hands scratches behind the cat's ears, "Good night."
