You know, these looks all silly but… they are perfect! Is your cat annoyed? Is your cat depressed? Does your cat eat too fast and suffocated itself? Does your cat eat too much? Is your cat castrated? Do your cats fight over food?

These are all perfect for that! Your cats like to hunt and have fun with their food so it’s better to give them some “difficulties” and way to use their brains: this is why a lot of these are called “intelligent toys”, because they stimulate play and hunt.

“I don’t have money for that!” DON’T WORRY! You can create your own intelligent toy with whatever you have at home!

This is better for cats than dogs, mostly because dogs try to destroy the toy first so I won’t suggest you to use toiler paper rolls or plastic bottles!

“My cat is too old for this stuff, it would stop eating!” YOU CAN DO SOMETHING ELSE! Is your cat too old to play, buy a lot of little bowls and instead of putting its food in a single one, split the food around the house. The cat will go around, searching for its food in a easy way and having a little hunt/play that will surely make its day a little more fun!

Expert: Now it could be for the forced eye contact and physical proximity of the family dinner table, it could also be a matter of texture, colour or certain tastes like bitter or sour, let’s try different things.

Parent: My kid yells when I want them to do homework straight away when we get back from school

Expert: The social part of school is draining for your child, have a nap/quiet-time then do homework

Expert: It’s not about you. Children don’t set out to deliberatly embarrass their parents, that’s paranoid nonsense. Also stop dragging your child to events you know will be unpleasant to them.

Parents: I’m devastated, my child is wierd and everyone can tell and people look at me like i’m wierd and they’re not going to give me grandchildren or a wedding or become a lawyer like me and my father before me or a sports star and doesn’t like many of my interests…

Expert: You self absorbed asshole. Your child is not a mini-me, not there to fulfill your lost dreams, or fill in for adult friendships. If you can’t change and learn to appreciate what’s interesting about your kid and only see negatives and milestones that even a neurotypical child might not achieve anyway, I’m calling child services.

Parent: My kid is terrible at school, they won’t sit still in class and chatter all the time and ask the teacher lots of questions and prefer playing cards to tag

Expert: What are their grades like?

Parent: Very good,*sigh* I guess. Teachers have been quite enthusiastic but…

Expert: That’s your child’s way of focusing and socializing. You have a smart child and can’t even say so because you’re focusing on the differences again.

Parent: My child never tells me if they’re happy or sad.

Expert: Look closer, what gestures mean I’m in pain? what gestures mean i’m happy? Kid has been humming snippets of songs, tapping fingers and sat close to you but beside the sofa on the floor during this conversation. Happy, paying attention and wanting to be close to you. Right kid? You doing ok there?

Kid: *current kid slang for yeah dude totally rad but without tone* goes back to humming

Google will search for your text on just tumblr

In my experience, it’s way more effective than searching through Tumblr

(you can use site:SITENAME.com to search any site btws)

This is happening RIGHT NOW in Hong Kong. It is August, 2019, and they are fighting for their freedom being taken away from the totalitarian government of China.

The government and pro-china supporters are trying to spin the whole story that we are fighting for Hong Kong Independence. Yes we are protesting against the Chinese and Hong Kong government but we are fighting against the Extradition Bills. Our goals have always been the same as beginning:

1. Complete withdrawal of the Extradition Bills

2. Implementation of Dual Universal Suffrage in Hong Kong

3. Retraction of the characterisations of the protest on 12 June 2019 as “riots”

4. Establishment of an independent investigation committee chaired by retired judges to investigate the police’s actions

5. The Department of Justice maintains its political neutrality and not conduct political prosecutions

There were also tourists complaining how we should go protest on streets instead of airport. We TRIED that, we HAVE BEEN protesting on streets, and we got teargased, police beating us, mass arrest. The whole point of taking the protest to airport is to raise international awareness to our situation, less chance of police brutality because we will be under international spotlight, and to affect the ECONOMY, which is the only way that will get OUR government to respond.

The role plastic products play in the daily lives of people all over the world is interminable. We could throw statistics at you all day long (e.g. Upwards of 300 MILLION tons of plastic are consumed each year), but the impact of these numbers border on inconceivable.

For those living on the coasts, a mere walk on the beach can give anyone insight into how staggering our addiction to plastic has become as bottles, cans, bags, lids and straws (just to name a few) are ever-present. In other areas that insight is more poignant as the remains of animal carcasses can frequently be observed; the plastic debris that many of them ingested or became entangled in still visible long after their death. Sadly, an overwhelming amount of plastic pollution isn’t even visible to the human eye, with much of the pollution occurring out at sea or on a microscopic level.

The short-lived use of millions of tons of plastic is, quite simply, unsustainable and dangerous. We have only begun to see the far-reaching consequences of plastic pollution and how it affects all living things. According to a study from Plymouth University, plastic pollution affects at least 700 marine species, while some estimates suggest that at least 100 million marine mammals are killed each year from plastic pollution. Here are some of the marine species most deeply impacted by plastic pollution.
