There is no such thing as reverse sexism or reverse racism, because it’s still sexism and still racism. That’s it. It’s just as racist to think all white people are shit bags because they’re white, regardless of your skin color. It’s just as sexist to think all men are shit bags because they’re men, as well. Just because it isn’t institutionalized does not make it magically acceptable for you to be less of a responsible human being and adult and treat everyone with as much respect as you can, because everyone’s a human being. You don’t get a magical pass to be more of a jerk to someone you’ve never met just because they look different from you or have different genitalia.
The only way you really cultivate a better world is by everyone doing their best to respect each other; not fight over who gets to call the other more of an asshole.
I didn’t realize it was possible to miss a point this badly. But here we are.
Both of those examples are not racism nor sexism, because both of those depend on power + prejudice. While women can be prejudiced against men and POC prejudiced against whites, that doesn’t magically make those things as bad as sexism and racism. People who are sexist and people who are racist do not deserve respect; women and POC who are “prejudiced” because they have been treated like shit deserve respect and to be listened to, since they get talked over by whiny people who cry “treat others like you want to be treated!” but never actually hold up their end of the bargain. Instead, you use this to justify institutionalizing your prejudices and to gloss over the problems that created this response.
Also that last paragraph is such shit, and you only need a rudimentary understanding of any of the civil rights movements in any country to see that behaving nicely benefits the oppressor and not the oppressed — and doesn’t encourage them to change anything — but nice try.
