oh my god, i think it just clicked on what ferris’ style inspiration has been for me when he’s picking out clothes for our photoshoots. the doll looks SUPER cute though, so thanks!! her pink stripes are kind of iconic.

Its super cute like a more casual goth lolita buuuutyeah its like most vampires dont dress cute but you do I mean its too dark for me I like bright colors so cars dont hit me so easily

awww, thank you!! most of the vampires i know do, but it’s probably because they’re also just into fashion- hedonism is a big aesthetic movement in toronto, especially with regards to anthony downtown or marc up further north- and mortimer does custom gown commissions specializing in the victorian era of dress, since his daughter elsie was turned then and she still likes the clothing since it’s familiar to her.

it’s actually really sweet- he learned how to sew for her, since he realized it would be extremely difficult to find authentic to the era pieces as time went on, and now she has a whole wardrobe overflowing with day dresses and evening gowns and little shifts with embroidered flowers and lace.

honestly, wearing brighter colors is probably a smart move anyways if you’re roaming around the roads at night, lol. i think part of why some vampires might also not dress as cutely is because it’s probably a pain in the ass to get blood out of delicate constructions that need to be hand washed, but ferris takes care of the messy part for me normally.

thank you! i’m absolutely going to torment ferris with that later when he wakes up. i wanna drag him along with me to anime north when that conventions running, and i was thinking of getting him to cosplay kaname kuran, since i always loooooved vampire knight as a teen, and i was going to match as yuki. but inukag would be really cute too… the poofy red pants are probably more ferris’ style anyways hahaha.

have you ever seen shugo chara? it’s a really cute magical girl anime, and the little personas have a whole bunch of different styles of clothing- sporty, girly, a little jester, tiny black cat, elegant princess, artistic- lots of style options but they all coordinate through being similarly monochromatic! maybe that could work for you guys? :-)

he couldn’t move his kittybreakfast over because the bowl is too heavy for him to do that, so he kept mewing and mewing until i figured out he wanted the same tiny spoon and container that donovan brought with the pumpkin purée because i figured ami just wanted to feel special and be hand fed again, but he was motioning with his paw and making a huge ruckus until eventually we put some of his food into it and then he carried the tiny container over to ferris to share. what a babyangel.

carmilla was one of those books, actually! i got seriously into the gothic once i got into highschool, but when i was a little girl and mort was babysitting me, he’d read out of wuthering heights at bedtime, and dracula somehow made it onto our nightly reading list. i think maybe he thought it was funny? since i never knew he was like, undead, until very recently actually. he was always just dad’s friend who worked the night shift mostly.
