I think this is the single funniest artfight rule. Like....I guess?
[ID: Tumblr comment by @/synthaphone which says, "I did see a character on artfight once who was just named “Rock” and the owner said in the description “if you draw a piece that has a rock in the background, you can tag this character and get extra points”, so i have to assume that the rule was added specifically to stop Rock." End ID.]
It's just... I think this year's experiences for me have been a culmination of "so when CAN we talk about antiblackness?" Because every time you bring it up, it's treated as a conspiracy- because surely no one could Genuinely Care about something so Trivial when there are More Important Things at Stake!
And instead of just outright saying "we don't wanna hear you talk about it at all because we don't care/we benefit" (because that wouldn't fit the Good Person Image) it's always treated as bad timing or bad expression.
So when is the time. When will be a good time to talk about the increasingly overt and growing presence of the antiblackness in the room. Or is the enforced policing of Black voices the preferred state of things here, to maintain nonblack comfort at all costs. Bc I wish y'all would just say that instead of all this other shenaniganery.
can i like one fucking feminist tumblr post without being sent to terf city by my algorithm. you people are fucking insane
like it’s driving me insane it’s kind of the same on my reels too. there’s this woman i’ve been following with sincere feminist thought that is so REFRESHING in a world that has basically eradicated basic feminist notions from public consciousness and discussion in the past decade. and then i see someone in the comments section describing women as “womyn.” now im not saying this creator is a terf but the unchallenged dogwhistle in the comments is really giving me pause

Can anyone stop being an anti black racist for a moment? I want a chance at enjoying things again
I'm not even kidding it's so clear that everyone sees black people and especially black women as some sort of alternate species. I'm getting into doll collection & customization videos because I've been getting into collecting myself and toys and art are supposed to bring me happiness and even there I can't escape the anti blackness. Like... you're lucky if you find a character or doll that's consistently brown skinned and carefully designed in popular brands. Collectors will always favor light skin or fantasy colors anyways. I had to watch a white creator call a custom Garnet doll "dummy thicc" and describe her in progress proportions as "female rappery" why couldn't just have said curvy? You're not funny or cool and I'm very tired
tuesday is practice for wednesday
helpful tattoo reminder: they are technically Injuries so u have to eat a lot of calories drink a lot of water and sleep a lot after so your body can Heal The Injury
another helpful tattoo reminder: the 24-48 hours after you get a tattoo your brain can not be trusted in regards to whether or not you should have gotten that tattoo, if you have somehow ruined your life, if it turned out ugly, etc. ignore that
finally, while i am at it: always bring a candy bar and a sugary drink to your appointment for blood-sugar reasons (worst case scenario) or so you can have a treat (unilaterally applicable)
this has been your friendly neighborhood haver of 19* tattoos (assorted sizes and placements)
*not totally sure here. bad at counting
Can I just emphasize that not everyone reading this has yet encountered the information that injuries require food, hydration, and sleep? I think the way many people associate rest and injury is that you rest the injury itself to avoid making it worse, but overlook that the healing process itself requires rest regardless of if not-rest directly injures it further.
Also exercise is a form of controlled injury so that as your body heals it heals stronger. You also need food-hydration-rest for strength and cardiovascular improvements after exercise.
everything is a reference when you're crazy
Squidward looks so cute and happy here he is loving this bath
got my first ever official customer complaint because when i was going over the terms of their life insurance they were like "well i don't plan to die" and i was like "well you're going to"
Sometimes it's not "your fault" but it's still "your problem" because nobody else can fix it.
If your history of trauma causes you to respond to totally normal interactions as if you're under threat of violence, you are likely to be a source of trauma for other people, and you should work on that.
It's not your fault that you were traumatized, but you're literally the only person who can fix you.
big problem on here is a lot of people seem to think just being transgender makes you a sensible political theorist
being transgender doesn't even make you a sensible gender theorist
mobility aids and glasses should be free for everyone
people need those to live
MEDICATION SHOULD ALSO BE FREE ACTUALLY. PEOPLE ALSO NEED THAT TO LIVE
ok i get the sentiment from people in the notes and i do agree with it but this is specifically a disability post

unfortunate truth of reality is that oftentimes 15 year olds will say/do/believe some stupid bullshit because they are 15 but telling them that they believe that because they are 15 is probably the most counterproductive thing in the entire universe
i remember being 15 and wanting literally nothing more than to be taken seriously and listened to and every thought and feeling i had was dismissed because i was a hormonal teenager. i was well aware at that point that a lot of the things i felt were probably because i was a kid, but that didnt make any of it less real, and being dismissed because of my age 1. did not help 2. did not make me feel better 3. made me angry at and untrustworthy of adults because they refused to listen to me. teenagers are people. kids are people. one of the only major things separating them from adults are experience and wisdom. they have like. you know. interiority
like in YOUR mind you may think youre being helpful by going 'well you're a kid, its not really a big deal, youre okay, youll get over it' but that does not register as "helpful affirmation that everything will turn out fine and the only reason im upset is because of something out of my control so its better to just try and come to terms with it" it registers as 'adult dismissing my real tangible problems and sadness and anger because of my age and inadvertently calling me stupid'
one time I went over to a friend's house and their housemate was making paper in the living room, and we saw this big tub full of water they were using to dissolve old scrap paper into a slurry, and everyone was immediately like "oh, you need scrap paper?" and started turning out their jacket pockets and producing expired coupons and bus tickets and crumpled receipts and old shopping lists and whatever else they'd been carrying round with them for no good reason, and passing it all to the paper-making housemate to make sure it was suitable before it got torn up and dropped into the tub, while people took turns stirring the slurry with a big wooden stick. it was strangely ritualistic, like presenting an offering to some kind of temple elder for inspection before placing it in a watery shrine to be devoured and reformed. pulp for the pulp god.
