Failure in progress
Faking it can only get you so far. Hard work and sheer force of will won't magically pay your bills. My husband lost his job, our financial anchor, the same week I left mine to work full time at my business. It's been 3 weeks and I've been calm about it, confident that we'd make it work somehow. We cannot make it work. I don't see how we're going to pay our own bills let alone make the necessary investments to open the dance school by September 12th. I'm embarrassed that we can't seem to get out of financial turmoil despite my best efforts and that I've dug us deeper into this pit with my idealism and ambition. I've been approved for a $10,000 grant but won't see that capital until October or November. I can't get approved for any loan, even one with crazy high interest, to hold me over until then. Borrowing money from family comes with a high emotional price and my pride and independence will do almost anything to avoid that. Meanwhile my husband is acting like nothing's wrong. It's so cliche but I feel desperately alone. I rowed myself to a deserted island without supplies and destroyed my boat and now I'm whining about it. I need to talk to someone but don't want to bug my, like, 3 remaining friends.
Your Real Quest
It is not enough to find your passion you must fight for it too defend your right to crackle with intensity beware the gusts of distraction and the erosion of your spark that can happen when youāre not looking and when the muse ignores your plea become a warrior that beats the deadness away for this is your real quest anyway to drink in the tiny changes that can take an average life and make it thunder with joy. -Samantha Reynolds

The Shops At Columbus Circle in the Summertime
10 Columbus Cir, New York, NY 10023
Summer crying can be HARD. Youāre losing all those gallons of liquid from your eyes on top of the horrifying pools of sweat that happen when you walk a half of a block down the street. Crying in the heat can really take it out of you and might not even seem worth it. I thought the summer of crying I had hoped for might be ruined during this heat, but then I stumbled upon The Shops @ Columbus Circle and soon found myself in hot crying heaven!!!!! Thereās so many air-conditioned stores to cry in, so many mannequins to hide your tears behind and a great public bathroom to get yourself together in. You could spend all day there- thereās a Whole Foods downstairs to keep up your nourishment on your sweet air-conditioned cry! Itās like it was made for this. Maybe it was!!! For a summer cry on a budget, I havenāt found anything better!!! A+++++++!!!!!

Long before vampires sparkled or hunger was a game, author Lois Duncan was writing tense, scary stories for teenagers. Books like Down a Dark Hall and Stranger With My Face kept a generation of readers up at night.
āYou have girls switching bodies with each other, and you have girls at a boarding school being possessed by long-dead artists,ā says publisher Lizzie Skurnick. "Itās these dramatic situations, but the writing is as good as any literary fiction today.ā
Duncan died suddenly on Wednesday at her home in Florida. She was 82.

dumbledore for rio 2016
iām sorry iām reblogging again, but like where did dumbledore learn to swim like that? are we to assume that dumbledore lowkey swims in the lake at Hogwarts and outswims the Giant Squid or something? is that why heās on speaking terms with the merpeople living in the lake? so they can let him practice his Michael Phelps-like perfect breaststroke? if so, there must be groups of students that secretly watch him, bc teens are weird. these are questions that will keep me up tonight, kayla.
are we to assume that dumbledore has a ripped swimmerās bod under that fab clothing? dumbledore disguised as a hogwarts student: i heard that dumbledore has an 8 pack. that dumbledore was shredded.
I couldnāt dance, but she couldnāt sing. She was dubbed. If they couldāve dubbed my dancing, we wouldāve had a perfect movie.
