The turnout for France has been quite remarkable. They had the second highest minimum at about 56k while Germany has the highest at 68k and is only halfway to its goal. France was at least among the first 3 if not the first, to reach it's minimum, and makes up a solid half of the total signatories. The vast majority of countries need less than 15k signatures total and 12 are less than 10k from meeting their minimum.

A few months ago I saw an effort being made on bluesky to boost signatures, which got Ireland to reach its minimum. After that though, I saw a pretty dramatic dropoff in the number of new signatures coming in. From the looks of it the petition was still in the 200ks all the way up until just a couple of days ago. But someone somewhere must've gotten the petition some attention because after it's been out a whole year signatures have suddenly skyrocketed up to over 470k in just a couple days. If we keep this momentum up we might just make it to 1 mill after all. But we can't let the French do all the work. We only need about 800 more signatures from Solvenia to reach the 7 nation minimum requirement, but those Solvenian signatures are coming in at a trickle.

I don't know if anyone's been using Eurovision as an opportunity to boost the petition, that might explain the sudden influx of new signatures. But it couldn't hurt to try since it's trending right now.

We've made it past the halfway point! 539k with over 50% of the signatures coming from France. Solvenia only needs 241 signatures to meet their minimum and Sweden and Germany are both at about 60% of their goal. Keep spreading the word!

This is very nice but it is imperative that you know that 988 IS NOT DEAD

988 is the US nationwide crisis line for anyone having a mental health crisis. It is NOT just for suicidal ideation and it IS NOT DEAD

They did fire (lay off? I don't know where the lawsuits are regarding getting the jobs reinstated) the entire staff that specifically takes LGBT calls but all 988 staff/contractors are trained on taking calls for a variety of populations and demographics in America, including the elderly, veterans, queer kids, etc. One department got hit, but 988 IS STILL ACTIVE. KEEP USING IT.
