The creature dropped from his hand, only a tail left behind as it skittered away back to whence it came.

Porelia gasped. “Did you hurt it!?”

The tail still wriggled in his grip as he flicked it into the bushes. “No, that is just a capability of theirs. Fascinating, isn’t it?”
